Will Justin Timberlake Reunite With *NSYNC at the Super Bowl Halftime Show? - 11/29/17

Us Weekly, 11/28/17 --

Tearing up our hearts. Justin Timberlake is headlining the Super Bowl halftime show, which begs the question: will *NSYNC be making a surprise appearance?

"I always keep an open mind," JC Chasez exclusively tells Us Weekly.

The boy band, which also includes Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick, last reunited onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2013. The longtime pals belted out their hit "Bye, Bye, Bye" during Timberlake's Video Vanguard medley.

*NSYNC previously performed at the 2001 Super Bowl halftime show with Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Nelly and Mary J. Blige. Timberlake would go on to sing with Janet Jackson at the 2004 event and accidentally expose her breast during a choreographed move.

Us Weekly exclusively revealed in September that Timberlake would be gracing the Super Bowl stage once more this year. "I think Justin will put on a great show for the Super Bowl halftime," Chasez, 41, tells Us. "He is at his best when the lights are brightest."

*NSYNC formed in 1995 and disbanded in early 2002. They may not be on the road together anymore, but in honor of the 20th anniversary release of their 1998 debut album, the stars have teamed up with Epic Rights to launch a new line of branded merchandise.

"I think we as a band were feeling a little nostalgic," Chasez says. "The thing that we actually thought we were so clever with was the marionettes because we did No Strings Attached. We were like, 'We'll never make Barbie dolls, but this is kind of cool,'" he adds, laughing, recalling some of the crazier items that used to be on shelves. "It was our way of having fun with our fans."

Timbaland Reveals Justin Timberlake's New Album Is Nearly Finished - 11/29/17

Spin, 11/27/17 --

In a deeply revelatory Rolling Stone interview, Timbaland discussed his past Oxycontin abuse and mental health struggles that altered the course of both his personal life and producing career. But Timbaland, who says he's made a clean break from addiction, also revealed that he's poised to make a large-scale comeback with none other than Justin Timberlake. "The music we just made? It's gonna put him on another plateau," Timbaland said of Timberlake's upcoming album.

Timberlake was recently announced as the halftime performer at the 2018 Super Bowl, despite the fact that his last project—the two-disc The 20/20 Experience—was released back in 2013. So it would make sense that his placement in one of the most visible performances of any given year would be accompanied by the release of new music, which Pharrell and Timberlake himself both confirmed is on its way.

Justin Timberlake Works Off His Thanksgiving Leftovers with the Help of His Son Silas - 11/25/17

People, 11/25/17 --

Justin Timberlake may have lived the "Thanksgiving dad life" on Thursday as he helped wife Jessica Biel put the finishing touches on a pumpkin meringue pie for their dinner with 2-year-old son Silas Randall, but on Saturday he was working hard to prevent getting the Thanksgiving dad bod!

The "SexyBack" singer, 36, traded in the turkey for some push-ups, in video taken by Biel and shared to Timberlake's Instagram page.

Shaking off those leftovers like... Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! 🎥 @jessicabiel

A post shared by Justin Timberlake (@justintimberlake) on

He wasn't alone in his workout either, getting help from "mini Justin" Silas who laid on top of his dad's back to give some added weight to the exercise.

"Shaking off those leftovers like…," Timberlake captioned the post before wishing his followers a happy holiday. "Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!"

If Timberlake is multi-tasking, that could be because he and Biel are still working on managing their schedules as working parents.

"It's hard — trying to find a balance between work and family and just being an independent human," Biel, 35, told Ryan Seacrest and guest host Busy Philipps on Live with Kelly & Ryan in August. "You're stretched thin everywhere, and it's been amazing creatively but really hard. I think every working parent must feel the same."

'Thanksgiving Dad Life:' Justin Timberlake Torches Thanksgiving Pumpkin Meringue Pie - 11/24/17

People, 11/24/17 --

Justin Timberlake is living the "Thanksgiving dad life."

Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel were getting into the holiday spirit on Thursday, and Biel was sure to post a sweet video of the "Suit & Tie" putting the finishing touches on a pumpkin meringue pie.

"No big deal, just torching Thanksgiving meringue," Biel, 35, is heard saying in a video clip of 36-year-old Timberlake lightly torching the pie.

Timberlake chimed in as he finished the task: "Thanksgiving dad life … okay, I think that's good."

The family seemed to enjoy several pies during the food-filled holiday. Before sharing the video, Biel uploaded a shot of four pies, one even topped with cookies.

Grammy TV special reveals secrets behind the scenes - 11/24/17

CBS News, 11/23/17 --

A TV special about the Grammy Awards will reveal the secrets behind the scenes of music's most important awards show. For example, not many people know Justin Timberlake helped save the Grammy Awards in 2009.

That was the year Chris Brown, accused of beating up his girlfriend Rihanna the night before, abruptly dropped out as a performer just hours before it was to air live. So did Rihanna.

So Timberlake huddled with veteran Grammy telecast producer Ken Ehrlich and they did what any great jazz artist does — they improvised.

Instead of Rihanna, Timberlake would sing with soul legend Al Green, who had originally been slated to just present an award. They added Keith Urban on guitar and backing vocals from Boyz II Men. The scramble paid off.

"We wound up putting together a number in three hours that wasn't on paper before," recalls Ehrlich. "That became this amazing Al Green-Justin Timberlake 'Let's Stay Together' number that aired about 20 minutes into the show and didn't exist four hours before."

That story and many others are included in "Grammys' Greatest Stories: A 60th Anniversary Special" airing Friday on CBS that features interviews with John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Mary J Blige, Sting, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, Chris Martin, Carrie Underwood and Paul McCartney.

Chanel and Pharrell Williams Drop World's Most Exclusive Sneakers - 11/22/17

WWD, 11/22/17 --

Chanel and Pharrell Williams on Tuesday dropped the world's most exclusive sneakers — and Justin Timberlake was the first to snag a pair.

The "SexyBack" singer, who is working with Williams on his new album, caused a sensation by popping in to Colette for a party celebrating Chanel's takeover of the Paris concept store.

Posing with Williams and Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, Timberlake proudly brandished a Chanel bag containing the 1,000-euro sneakers designed by Williams in collaboration with Chanel and Adidas Originals, as an offshoot of his ongoing collaboration with the German sporting goods firm.

Williams sat down with WWD to discuss quantum physics, sneakermania and why the future is female:

WWD: Among your upcoming projects, everyone is talking about the N.E.R.D. album. Do you have a drop date for that yet?

P.W.: I can't tell you, but I'm so glad you asked. I'm glad that you care to ask.

WWD: What other projects are in the works?

P.W.: Well, the Ariana Grande stuff is pretty amazing. The things that she has to say on this album, it's pretty next-level. Her album is amazing. And the Justin Timberlake is crazy.

*NSYNC Christmas merch sells out in hours - 11/21/17

dailymail.co.uk, 11/20/17 --

Bells are ringing, it's time to scream and shout (scream and shout) — but everybody's crying on Twitter 'cause the new line of *NSYNC merchandise is sold out. Fifteen years after they split up in 2002, the record-breaking boy band back with a new line of holiday merch that's sent fans into a frenzy. The line of Christmas-themed sweaters, ornaments, and more was announced on social media to much excitement earlier this month, and almost immediately sold out when it hit the online store late last week.

Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick haven't made music together since their last album, Celebrity, came out in 2001. After touring for the CD, Justin left to embark on a solo career — but fans have never given up on them.

Their holiday album — and its lead single, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays — is still a favorite, and love for the song seems to have inspired the band to put out some new goodies this year.

'The band is thrilled to create an exciting new line of merch with Epic Rights in celebration of our 20th Anniversary,' Lance Bass said in a statement.

On November 16, The limited-edition collection went on sale on *NSYNC's website, with this announcement on the official Twitter account: We may have been "Gone", but we're "Thinking of You" & since "It's Christmas" here's an ugly sweater, a stocking & some other things too.'

The collection was comprised of three sweaters for $45 to $80, including one that featured the marionette-like versions of the singers from their It's Gonna Be Me video. There was a T-shirt, a mug, and slip-on shoes with a cartoon of the band and the words 'It's Gonna Be Sleigh,' as well as a tree ornament, two pins, and a beanie (hilariously called the 'Tearin' Up My Hat').

Unfortunately, the band seems to have underestimated the demand for *NSYNC Christmas merch, and everything sold out in under 24 hours.

'We will talk to Santa ASAP!' the site reads, indicating there might be another run available soon.

Here's the letter Greta Gerwig wrote Justin Timberlake asking to use his song in Lady Bird - 11/21/17

Entertainment Weekly, 11/21/17 --

We all have a special relationship to certain songs that define our youth and Saoirse Ronan's titular character in Lady Bird is no exception — and neither is the film's writer and director, Greta Gerwig.

Last night, Gerwig stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to chat about the movie and just how personal it is to audiences. Some of those personal touches include music choices, like Justin Timberlake's breakup anthem "Cry Me a River." In order to get permission to use the song during a pivotal moment in Lady Bird, Gerwig personally wrote a letter to the music star (and fangirled a bit in the process).

"I mean, what can I say? You're Justin Timberlake," Gerwig read aloud to Meyers, "You were the soundtrack to my adolescence. Your rise corresponded exactly with my very awkward puberty." And then, the writer-director added, it "just gets worse." You can read the full letter below.

Gerwig also wrote to Dave Matthews asking if she could use his classic song "Crash Into Me" by explaining that it is "the most romantic song ever" and that she wishes she "could go back in time and tell my 16-year-old self that this moment was coming."

Oh, and you'll definitely want to watch to hear Gerwig's relationship with Alanis Morissette's bible of angst, Jagged Little Pill.

Lady Bird is in theaters now, and you can watch the full clip of Gerwig's appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers above.

Pharrell Enlists Justin Timberlake for #LemonDanceChallenge - 11/20/17

highsnobiety.com, 11/20/17 --

If you're still in a state of content shock over the perfection of N*E*R*D's huge comeback single with Rihanna, "Lemon," know that you're not alone. The season's most surprisingly-satisfactory release was delivered unto us with a music video that eschewed its famous faces to focus on a single dancer and some stunning choreography. Like all great choreography, there is now a viral challenge to amp it up, and it seems Pharrell got his hands on Justin Timberlake to join him. Watch it below.

Dance crews and N*E*R*D aficionados alike have been using the hashtag #LemonDanceChallenge to document their interpretation of the frenetic moves, but this is the first instance in which Pharrell has acknowledged it. Perhaps most intriguing of all is that Williams is hanging out with Timberlake, something that made headlines earlier this year when the two were spotted in studio with Timbaland. Stay tuned to see if new JT comes our way – perhaps in time for his Superbowl halftime show?

Troll order: Justin Timberlake voices animated Branch - 11/17/17

indulgexpress.com, 11/17/17 --

Singer-songwriter, actor, record producer and now, voice artist. Justin Timberlake speaks about voicing Branch, the paranoid Troll, in director Mike Mitchell's (2016) 3D animated musical, Trolls.

How would you look as a troll? How would you picture yourself?
You know what someone said to me? She was from Germany, and she said, 'You you look like a character in the movie!' And I was like, 'Oh, just like him?' And she said, 'Yeah, just like him!' So, I said, 'They put the camera in our face when we do the voice, so they make the mouth move like that.' But she also meant the ears and everything! I was like, "Damn!" I got a kick out of that!

You're also the executive music producer. Could you pick out one song you really liked?
Maybe this sounds a little obvious, but Can't Stop the Feeling was really a lot of fun to work on, but it was the first time I'd ever written a song that had a specific list of objectives to accomplish. 'Cause it is in the movie, we have two different versions. One that I did for pop radio, and one that has the whole cast singing. It was a lot of fun to do, but different, because I've never written like this before.

What did you do to make your dream work?
There's a famous quote from Vince Lombardi, the American football coach, and I believe it is, "Luck is where preparation meets timing." I think that means you have to have luck to have the moment, but you have to work hard, and be prepared to know that you're about to have that moment. And I think all the hard work will pay off.

People, 11/16/17 --

Chris Kirkpatrick is many an *NSYNC fan's favorite band member, but his son is not one of them.

"I think JC is his favorite," joked Kirkpatrick, 46, in the accompanying text, referring to his former *NSYNC bandmate JC Chasez.

Lance Bass "Hates Traveling," And Has the Cheesiest Method for Surviving It - 11/16/17

bravotv.com, 11/16/17 --

Lance Bass isn't terribly fancy when he travels, but there is just one electronic device he needs in order to be comfortable.

"I have to have my iPad," he tells Jet Set (clip above). "I live on my iPad and it's still the first generation, it's still doing fine. I wish they could make the iPhone like they make the iPad... because I've had it for years and it's fine."

The former boy bander feels rather elderly when he's traveling, which he doesn't enjoy doing at all.

"But I have to play games because I hate traveling, so I need to focus on something," he shares. "I play hearts, I like to play cards. Or I play Smurfs — Smurfs' Village and hearts, that's what I play. I'm basically a 90-year-old woman. It really entertains me and the hours fly when I play those games."

Quaint, Lance. And rated much more PG than Harvey Weinstein's travel essentials.

Adam Levine & Justin Timberlake are more than just "studs with a six-pack" in "People's" Sexiest Men issue - 11/16/17

wjbdradio.com, 11/16/17 --

Country star Blake Shelton may be People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive this year, but he isn't the only musician included in the magazine's latest eye candy-filled issue.

People executive editor Kate Coyne tells ABC Radio, that "one of the main reasons [Blake] said yes to this was so that he could really stick it to Adam [Levine]" -- Blake's longtime rival on The Voice and 2013's Sexiest Man Alive. But turns out Adam's also featured in this year's issue, as part of the mag's "Hottest Couples" section with wife Behati Prinsloo.

"They're just sort of sexy squared," says Coyne. "They are creating such a cool kind of supermodel/rock star family together with their little girl Dusty Rose and now another new baby on the way, and it's just a really lovely, sweet dynamic between the two of them."

That kind of family dynamic is also what lands Justin Timberlake on the list again this year.

"I feel like more and more of what you're seeing from men on this list -- and Justin's a great example -- is guys who are unabashedly in love with their wives, their partners, with their families," Coyne tells ABC Radio, noting that these guys "really have that extra something that makes then a lot sexier than just single stud with a six-pack."

Justin's been included in the issue many times before, so when will he finally claim the "Sexiest Man" title? Coyne says he's always somebody who's on the shortlist, but time will tell.

*NSYNC And Epic Rights Join Together For Merchandise Line to Celebrate Band's 20th Anniversary - 11/15/17

Billboard, 11/14/17 --

After saying "bye, bye, bye" in 2002, *NSYNC is poised to return next year with a new line of global merchandise to celebrate the boy band's 20th anniversary.

One of the best-selling bands of all-time with more than 70 million records sold, *NSYNC has joined forces with branding and licensing company Epic Rights to develop a new line of apparel, accessories, gift and collectible products.

"The band is thrilled to create an exciting new line of merch with Epic Rights in celebration of our 20th Anniversary," said founding member Lance Bass, in a statement. Bass will serve as the band's liaison with Epic Rights.

Epic Rights CEO Dell Furano added, "*NSYNC ushered in the modern age of huge merchandise sales both at their sold-out concerts and at retail. We are certain we will have equal success today."

Among the licensing categories Epic Rights plans to develop for *NSYNC will be a retro line of '90s inspired fashion apparel and accessories, collaborating with some of the era's iconic fashion brands. Additionally, Epic Rights will focus on a line utilizing album covers, photos, logos, and art for products such as tops, t-shirts, accessories, electronics, seasonal and home décor, as well as games, collectible figures, slot machines and more. Epic Rights will also manage the group's online presence and official Website promotions.

Winterland originally handled the band's merchandise in the '90s, but the group had been without a merchandiser for several years.

Other 20th anniversary activities include a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Spring 2018, which could coincide with the release of the band's first single, "I Want You Back" in March 1998.

No word yet on if the group, which, in addition to Bass, included Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake, has any plans to make any 20th anniversary appearances. Timberlake will headline the Super Bowl LII half-time show in Minneapolis on Feb. 4. The band last reunited at the 2013 MTV Music Awards.

Geeking out with *NSYNC's Joey Fatone at Rhode Island Comic Con 2017 - 11/15/17

AiPT!, 11/14/17 --

At the height of *NSYNC's popularity, it's likely those of the geek persuasion probably didn't have a sense of kinship with the boy band's ravenous fanbase. But forget the screaming fans–a geek was embedded among the chart-topping pop hit makers in the form of Joey Fatone!

(And let's face it, he probably wasn't the only one–looking at you, Timberlake.)

Fatone was one of many celebrity guests to attend Rhode Island Comic Con 2017 and was nice enough to chat with AiPT! in the minutes leading up to Day 2 November 11. What followed was a great conversation about, what else, but Superman, geeking out and hot dogs!

What'd you expect us to talk about, *NSYNC?

AiPT!: What do you enjoy about coming to events like Rhode Island Comic Con?

Joey Fatone: You know what, it's a combination of a lot of different things. One, I haven't been to Rhode Island in a while. Two, it's fun to do comic cons because you get to go and, obviously, get a chance to meet fans and people you maybe haven't seen in a while since I haven't been touring with *NSYNC, obviously, and people remember me from so many different things, which is pretty interesting. Obviously, the money doesn't suck, so it's not too bad…

AiPT: Haha!

Fatone: It's fun to do. It's weird because it's a combination of everything and it's a fun thing to do to be out here and just say thanks to your fans. A lot of of these celebrities aren't in Rhode Island all the time, so it's a good chance to do that–plus, I buy a bunch of shit.

AiPT: Well, I was just going to ask that. Are you a comic reader or collector?

Joey Fatone: Yeah–Superman. I collect stuff, so it's itching me right now not having gone over there yet, but hopefully at some point I'll get over there and, yeah, I will probably buy some stuff.

Jessica Biel Knows This Much About Justin Timberlake's 2018 Super Bowl Performance - 11/15/17

E! Online, 11/14/17 --

Jessica Biel is pleading the fifth!

The star of USA Network's The Sinner recently chatted with E! News about Justin Timberlake's halftime show performance at the 2018 Super Bowl. As she explained to us, J.T.'s kept his wife of five years completely in the dark as rehearsals get underway.

"I know nothing, truly," Jessica shared, ultimately teasing, "They're being very thoughtful about what they want to do and figuring it out."

Fans will just have to consider Biels' lips completely sealed! She did tell us the whole family, including 2-year-old son Silas Timberlake, is excited to check out the actress' Midwest roots. "I was born in Minnesota," she said. "I didn't really grow up there, but yes we are going back!"

So what is there to know about the biggest gig in Timberlake's career? For starters, he's promised no wardrobe malfunctions à la the 2004 Super Bowl with Janet Jackson, and two sources told us she won't join him onstage for round two.

One source said the 10-time Grammy winner's set will be "classic J.T.," explaining, "Justin will be playing his old stuff during his Super Bowl performance... Justin's team has really been pushing to lock in this deal and he's very excited for the opportunity."

Timberlake himself has major goals to accomplish come February 4, as he shared during an appearance on Football Night in America, "What I really want to do is take the opportunity to put together a performance that feels like it unifies... and then the icing on the cake is at some point, within that 12 minutes, that everybody is shaking their booty."

Pink recalls dating *NSYNC's Joey Fatone - 11/1c/17

Brampton Guardian, 11/15/17 --

Pink thinks her one-time date Joey Fatone is "a sweet heart".

The 38-year-old singer-songwriter went on a date with the former *NSYNC star during her first concert tour when she was just 19, and although their romance failed to work out, Pink retains positive memories of the experience.

The American musician - who has been married to Carey Hart since 2006 - told James Corden on the latest episode of 'Carpool Karaoke': "Joey Fatone used to come in my dressing room every day and visit with us, and he was such a sweet heart."

Joey had a crush on the singer and decided to ask her dad whether he could take the then-teenager out on a date.

Pink - who has daughter Willow, six, and 11-month-old son Jameson with her husband - recalled: "My dad actually thought Joey was very charming.

"[Joey] took me to Friendly's. As a friendly date, not like, a date-date. I just wanted ice cream. We were in the friend zone."

Lance Bass Isn't Doing 'Celebrity Big Brother' -- Here's Why - 11/13/17

Entertainment Tonight, 11/10/17 --

Lance Bass is the self-proclaimed "biggest Big Brother" fan out there -- but that doesn't mean he's signing up for the first-ever U.S. edition of Celebrity Big Brother this winter.

"I'm not doing it," he reveals to ET. "I am the biggest Big Brother fan ever. I want to play this game so badly, but it's just, I'm not going to be in a house that long and not get paid $10 million. So, if you wanna pay me $10 million, I'm in!"

CBS's celebrity edition of the game will premiere in early 2018 for a limited run, with famous faces moving into the Big Brother house for the first time -- and Bass and his husband, Michael Turchin, have some dream casting in mind.

"We're so excited," Bass admits. "I would love to see Kathy Griffin, for multiple reasons. I think she would just be great television, and she loves the game. AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys, another big Big Brother fan. I like to see fans in the house. And, our girl, Fortune Feimster, would be really great in the house."

"And Lisa Vanderpump!" Turchin adds. "She would never do it in her entire life, but that would just be TV gold."

"I did try to convince her to go," Bass admits. "It didn't work."

"She can't share a shower or toilet with people," Turchin says. "It's not happening."

ET caught up with the couple at Vanderpump's Vanderpump Dog Foundation annual gala in Los Angeles on Thursday night. The pair are big supporters of the rescue organization, having adopted two puppies from the center.

"We've seen this little puppy, ha, 'puppy' grow from a little inkling of an idea into an amazing foundation, an amazing rescue shelter, all within just a couple years, which is insane," Bass says. "Like, all of us have ideas -- but, Lisa and [her husband], Ken, are doers. If they think of something, it happens in the next month and I think that's so amazing."

Lou Pearlman, Disgraced Manager of *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, Is Getting the TV Treatment - 11/13/17

In Touch Weekly, 11/11/17 --

In the 1990s, Lou Pearlman was on top of the pop music world — as the manager of both *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. But in the 2000s, his empire fell amid fraud charges, and just last year, he died in federal custody. Now, however, Lou's story will live on, thanks to a limited TV series in development.

Inspired by the New Kids on the Block, Lou founded Trans Continental Records and formed a fledgling boy band called the Backstreet Boys. Following BSB's massive success, Lou somehow got lightning to strike twice. Following the same formula, he created *NSYNC.

Unfortunately, his runaway wealth was built on a house of cards. In 2006, investigators discovered Lou had committed fraud, bilking investors out of at least $300 million, according to Billboard. Lou fled to Indonesia, where he was arrested in 2007. In 2008, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for money laundering, conspiracy, and making false statements during a bankruptcy hearing.

It gets worse: Lou may have sexually assaulted his employees, as well. "We would hear things, for sure," *NSYNC's Lance Bass told Billboard in 2014. "He would always have young boy limo drivers for Trans Continental Records. Those limo drivers would always be put into different boy bands. Then I'd hear rumors that he would molest the boys before they would even get into the groups. I don't know how much of that is true, but to me, where there's smoke, there's fire."

Now Lou's story is headed for the small screen. Songwriters Desmond Child and Andreas Carlsson, who wrote hits for both bands, will produce the series — basing it on that same 2007 Vanity Fair article and the 2008 crime thriller The Hit Charade by Bryan Burrough. It's sure to be a scintillating show since Lou was, to borrow a BSB song title, "Larger Than Life," to borrow the title of a BSB song — and because he apparently considered himself above the law, too.

Q+A: The Shadowboxers on New Music, Working with Timberlake - 11/7/17

Variance, 11/7/17 --

After recently sharing their buzzy new single "Hot Damn!," Nashville R&B-pop outfit The Shadowboxers are playing a series of shows this week in New York and building momentum as they work on new music.

The trio, comprised of Adam Hoffman, Matt Lipkins and Scott Tyler, was discovered by Justin Timberlake, who actually signed them to his Villa 40 label and has been working with him on their upcoming debut full-length.

Before their shows this week, which also include stops in Philadelphia and D.C., the band talked with Variance about navigating the music industry, hitting the studio with Timberlake and their upcoming plans.

Check out our Q+A below and see their shows at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on Friday and the Bowery Ballroom in New York on Saturday. Tickets are available here.

Being signed with Justin Timberlake is a pretty big deal, but it didn't happen overnight. How did you stay motivated leading up to this point?

Matt: We've faced a ton of plateaus in our career and then simultaneously, moments of almost immediate momentum once we've hit those plateaus. But right before things happened with Justin, we had sort of come to a point where we wanted to take our career in our own hands. Things had wrapped up with the Indigo Girls, who we were touring with for a number of years, and so in an attempt to retain some momentum, we started doing a cover series on YouTube to try to reach a broader audience. And it really worked – we have people who come up to us at almost every show now that will know us through our covers. So that obviously really motivated us to take it to the next level. And then of course those covers reached Justin, which was a huge accomplishment and pushed us forward. We always try to look at our career as a series of problems that need to be solved and we just keep on moving to the next problem.

Scott: And once Justin got involved, it was easy to stay motivated. Once his name showed up in our email inbox, it was the easiest thing to stay motivated because the stakes got so much higher for us. We knew that everything we'd been doing, we just needed to keep doing more of. We were writing like crazy and we'd send him songs every couple of weeks, demoing them in a converted bedroom in our house in Nashville. We were just constantly recording music, finding new ways to reach people and make music that was better than the song before it.

Jessica Biel reveals how parenting has changed her relationship with husband, Justin Timberlake - 11/7/17

nowtolove.com.au, 11/7/17 --

For fans of Jessica Biel, it's fair to say her return to the small screen is a huge leap from her 7th Heaven days.

The 35-year-old serves as star and executive producer of new Netflix series The Sinner. The story follows a young mother, Cora, who murders a stranger in public – without any idea why.

The show then explores the fallout and how it affects Cora's marriage.

And, most importantly, her young son.

Here, Jessica talks to TV WEEK about the challenging role and how, thankfully, it couldn't be further from her own life.

Cora is a mother – and you and [husband] Justin Timberlake also became parents to son Silas in 2015. How has parenthood changed you?
"Being a mother has changed everything. When you become a parent, you think you're a patient person, but you're not. You think you're a compassionate person, but you're not."

Has it changed your relationship at all?
"You see your partner in a completely different way, because you're seeing them interact with this little, perfect thing you created. All ego and cool factor is gone when they're lying on the floor, googly-eyeing a fat baby. I feel like I look at him totally differently some days. I'm in awe of him and how he interacts with that little dude."

Lance Bass Opens Up About Unwanted Advances 'From Both Men and Women' - 11/3/17

Variety, 11/3/17 --

Over the past couple of months we've been hit with a barrage of stories and accusations revolving around sexual misconduct and abuse in Hollywood. I, like most people in this business, have heard countless rumors over the years, but not until these rumors were given life over the past couple months did they finally seem real — and this is a problem.

Now, I'm certain I'm not saying anything new here, nor am I the most eloquent, but as a society, we've been become far too comfortable with the pervasive "casting couch" adage that it no longer resembles what it truly is — sexual assault.

Finally, victims are speaking out, giving faces to these too-often overlooked victims and proving that we can no longer be complacent and quiet, if we truly want things to change.

I grew up in the entertainment business and I've experienced my share of unwanted advances from both men and women who saw me as a target. The experiences left me shaking and confused each time. I hated being put into that position, but I was too afraid to say anything. First because I was not out, and second because I didn't want to affect the jobs of the hundreds of people who depended on me working. The people who perpetrate these horrible acts know this. They rely on it. For my young mind, the stakes were overwhelming and silence seemed to be the only option. So I remained silent.

Later on, I would come out of the closet and find a comfort and relief in those who accepted me. In the years since, I've met wonderful members of the LGBTQ entertainment community who've fostered my career, partnered on my projects and stood out as beacons of brilliance in a town filled with incredible creatives at all levels.

I say this because it's important to remember that sexual predators are just that. They come in all sexual orientations and seek to overpower those who believe they have too much to lose if they speak up. Recent statements in the press have irresponsibly conflated predatory behavior with homosexuality, and blurring that line is simply dangerous. Loving who you love isn't a choice; abuse on the other hand is.

I'm truly thankful for my LGBTQ brothers and sisters and our straight allies, as we raise our voices to give strength and protection to those who are still scared and silent. That being said, we still have a long way to go. I am certain more stories of abuse will be brought to light, and I hope those responsible will be brought to justice. As a society, we've accepted sexual misconduct for far too long, and I believe we've finally reached the beginning of the end. The end of fear. The end of shame. The end of intimidation. The end of abuse.

Justin Timberlake Confided in Jimmy Fallon During Britney Spears Breakup - 11/3/17

Us Weekly, 11/3/17 --

Gimme more, Jimmy Fallon! The Tonight Show host appeared on the Thursday, November 2, episode of Watch What Happens Live where he played a friendly game of "Plead the Fifth." Host Andy Cohen naturally brought up the year 2002 — the year of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears' infamous break up — which also happens to be the year Timberlake and Fallon became friends.

When asked if the "Sexy Back" singer ever told him why they split, after a long pause, Fallon admitted that he knew. He also added that "every now and then" a Spears song will come on and they'll all dance to it!

"We used to hang out all the time, with Britney as well," Fallon noted. "That's when we met each other on Saturday Night Live. I remember going to a Super Bowl party at Planet Hollywood that Britney and Justin were having. It was just really fun."

Cohen then asked if he thought at that time that Spears and Timberlake would be together forever. "Eh," Fallon answered.

Chris & Karly Kirkpatrick celebrate their anniversary - 11/3/17

Here's What It's Really Like To Work With Justin Timberlake, According to Brian McKnight - 11/3/17

Bustle, 11/3/17 --

It was clear within the first ten seconds of Justin Timberlake's debut solo album, Justified, that something had changed about the then 21 year-old singer. There was the bright, strutting piano of "Señorita," and it's bombastic spoken word intro, providing an introduction to a star who seemingly required no introduction at all. But, most aptly, there was also the curious maraca sound that opens the album, resembling the confident grandstanding of a rattlesnake that's just shed its former skin. Justified was Timberlake's rites of passage album, celebrating the singer as he emerged from the casing of his *NSYNC years. And in a phone interview with Bustle, Justified producer Brian McKnight (who worked on the song "Never Again" for the album) revealed what it was like to worth with Timberlake during such a formative part of the superstar's life and career.

Having worked together on *NSYNC's 2001 album, Celebrity, McKnight describes how the two "had a relationship since he was an early teenager." He says, "He was one of the biggest artists in the world at that time, but he was still a regular guy. Likes to shoot hoops and likes playing golf and all of those kind of things. A well rounded human being. So, it was great to watch him, from my perspective, as a kid growing into a man, and doing everything the right way."

Musically, this was something that was evident on Justified. Released at a transitional time when Timberlake had just split from Britney Spears and was trying to forge a solo career, the album features the sort of rawness and vulnerability that all periods of great change produce in a person. However, though Justified feels like a greatly personal album, Timberlake harbors enough maturity that he never reveals more than he needs to. There's a great deal of hurt to be heard in songs like "Never Again," and "Cry Me A River," but they're thankfully remiss of any direct mud-slinging (despite that controversial music video for "Cry Me A River," which starred a woman who bore an undeniable likeness to Spears.)

According to McKnight, who is hesitant to "talk about the heart and soul of the album," this may have been a natural part of Timberlake's songwriting. "I think as men, we all have a difficult time talking about those things in our lives," McKnight points out, "But I think that he left that open to interpretation, without necessarily having to talk about it. He wrote the songs, he put it out, it is what it is."

Official Charts Flashback 2002: Justin Timberlake vs. Nelly and Kelly Rowland - 11/2/17

Official Charts, 11/2/17 --

Given Justin Timberlake's track record on the Official Chart, which includes four chart-topping singles and three Number 1 albums, it's easy to forget that his debut solo single missed out on chart glory.

15 years ago this week, in 2002, Justin launched his solo career with Like I Love You. It was a significant step up from his output with the now-defunct *NSYNC a slice of pop-funk produced by the Pharrell-fronted band Neptunes and featured hip-hop duo of the moment Clipse.

Its slick and snappy percussion combined with Justin's breathy vocal had more than a whiff of Michael Jackson about it, and like the King of Pop himself, chart success seemed a given.

However, Like I Love You was no match for R&B's new power couple, Nelly and Kelly Rowland, who denied him Number 1 with their duet Dilemma.

The duo's cutesy to-ing and fro-ing had stormed to the top the previous week with 208,000 sales and shifted another 129,000 the following week to keep its place at the summit. Justin's Like I Love You sold 87,000 to debut at Number 2.

Dilemma was near-unstoppable at the time, logging two weeks at Number 1 and finishing as the UK's fourth best-selling track of 2002 - and 23rd biggest single of the decade (2000 - 2010). The story goes that the song was in fact a last minute addition to Nelly's album after being played a demo of the song by producer Ryan Bowser.

Joey Fatone Reminisces on His Boy Band Days, Calls Out the New Wave - 10/31/17

Billboard, 10/31/17 --

*NSYNC may be no more, but Joey Fatone has surely kept busy. In the last year and a half alone, the 40-year-old has brought back his lovable My Big Fat Greek Wedding character Angelo (in the sequel, which released March 2016), opened a namesake hot dog stand in his hometown of Orlando, and served as host for Impractical Jokers: After Party.

This Halloween, you can also hear Fatone's voice in the new Discovery Family Channel flick A Witches Ball. The TV movie follows story of a young girl named Beatrix who passed her Witches' exam, but has to fix a broken crystal ball and solve three magical riddles in time for her big night at the ball — with the help of a trusty sidekick, Muggs the Rat, voiced by the singer/actor.

For Fatone, being part of a Halloween movie is special, as it's a holiday very close to his heart. "I probably have more Halloween decorations than I do Christmas," he laughs, discussing the 20 to 30 plastic pumpkins he has around his house and recalling a time he turned his daughter Briahna into Regan, Linda Blair's character from The Exorcist.

Although Briahna, now 16, may not enjoy A Witches Ball the way his 7-year-old, Kloey, might, Fatone asserts that she sometimes reaps the benefits of her dad's status.

"Usually, it's like, 'Uh yeah, whatever dad' -- and then all of the sudden, because I can go see Twenty One Pilots and have a meet and greet with them, then I'm cool," he says. "One time I brought her to an Ed Sheeran concert, and we went backstage and started talking to him when the opening act was performing. It was so funny, I was like, 'You want to go out and see the opening act?' and she's like, 'No I'm good, I'll stay here.' And I'm like, 'Oh why, you want to talk to Ed Sheeran? Is that why? You want to be cool? Now I'm cool.'"

There was a time when Briahna would recognize her dad isn't like most dads, though. "When she was younger, she always said that kind of jokingly, like, 'You're a rock star.' And I'm like, 'No, I'm not.' Just say pop star... I'm not really in the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. It's more like, soda pop, chicken fingers and pixie sticks."

Pop star he was, as one-fifth of beloved boy band *NSYNC, until the group went on hiatus in 2002. While he's focusing on acting nowadays, Fatone has found ways to pay homage to his musical beginnings through his new route -- particularly so in last year's goofy post-apocalyptic Syfy flick Dead 7, in which he starred alongside fellow *NSYNC-er Chris Kirkpatrick, the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, AJ McLean and Howie Dorough, 98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons, and O-Town's Erik Estrada. Though they all knew each other back in the day, the movie allowed them to not only bond, but also reminisce on the good old days.

Jessica Biel Reveals When She Knew Justin Timberlake Was the One - 10/31/17

Entertainment Tonight, 10/31/17 --

After five years of marriage, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake's relationship couldn't be stronger.

ET's Nischelle Turner caught up with Biel at the exclusive preview of Au Fudge CAMP in West Hollywood, California, on Monday, where she revealed how she first knew Timberlake was the one.

"We had been dating for a little bit... There was just a moment when I called a girlfriend and I said, 'I'm going to marry this guy,'" the 35-year-old actress shared. "I don't necessarily know why, but I think a lot of people feel that way. It's not a tangible moment where you're like, 'This is it,' it just is, somehow."

Part of the reason why Biel and Timberlake work so well together is because they support each other unconditionally. The actress will be her husband's No. 1 supporter when he takes the stage to play the Super Bowl halftime show in February.

"It's going to be good," she gushed. "I guess I could be a little bit biased, but I think he puts on the best show of anybody."

"I'm just excited for him to have a really incredible place to perform and play some great stuff," she added.

And Timberlake, of course, supports his wife as she extends her family friend's L.A. restaurant, Au Fudge, to include a kid's CAMP (Center for Art, Music and Play), set to open in mid-November.

Lance Bass from *NSYNC talks Equinox, future plans - 10/28/17

Digital Journal, 10/26/17 --

Lance Bass from the Grammy nominated pop group *NSYNC chatted with Digital Journal about his partnership with Equinox, and he opened up about his plans for the future.

Lance Bass talks about Equinox

On his partnership with Equinox, he said, "It has been great! I've never felt better. That's for sure. I've heard that it takes you a couple of months to get into the exercise routine, and it took me about four months, but now I look forward to going to the gym. It has been amazing."

Bass acknowledged that Tier X is a curated lifestyle program that provides him with an individualized and a holistic approach to living a healthy lifestyle. "Tier X is definitely something new for me, but it has worked wonders for me. It goes at my own speed. I've worked with trainers before, and I've always been discouraged to go back, because of how hard they work you. I've felt that they are trying to prove something to themselves and not me, but with Tier X and especially Larry, he really takes it at our own pace, and we steadily grow it bigger and bigger. That has helped me stay on course," he said.

In a few years, Bass is gearing up for his 40th birthday, and he intends to be in the best shape possible to celebrate that milestone. "I have a year and a half to go, before I hit 40, so I wanted to give myself plenty of time to get in the best shape of my life. I felt that a good two years would do that for me, and hopefully, I will make that habit stick. That is what we are hoping for," he said.

"Equinox has definitely changed my life. Larry definitely has. I hope to be fit for life now. Equinox was definitely that catalyst. It took me 37 years to finally get to this point. They have changed this man," he added.

Lance talks future plans and motivations

On his future plans, Bass said, "I'm promoting my new show on MTV 2. It's called 90s House, which I host with Christina Milian. Other than that, I'm winding things down for the year to enjoy things with my family. I joined a restaurant group, so we have been opening up restaurants all over the world. I am a big foodie, so I love to get involved with restaurants and really be around amazing food."

Bass revealed that his artist husband, Michael, motivates him each day. "He is a go-getter and he really inspires me, especially when I am trying to get into the gym spirit. He has been very good and has changed my eating habits. Every time I go training with Larry at Equinox, my husband is right there with me at the gym. You can't get better motivation than that. My husband is an incredible artist!"

This Is What Happens When You Force Lance Bass To Guess '90s Foods, Blindfolded - 10/27/17

delish, 10/27/17 --

Lance Bass may have spent the latter part of the '90s wearing puffy jackets, opening for Janet Jackson — later headlining his own tours — and tearin' up tweens' hearts as part of mega-boyband *NSYNC, but that doesn't mean he didn't knock back handfuls of Gushers and swig Capri Suns like the rest of us. (He just got mobbed in grocery stores when he tried to buy them. You know, just like the rest of us.)

Now that he's the host of '90s House on MTV, we put Bass to the test: How well does he really know the era that brought us such wonders like Crystal Pepsi and Dunkaroos? The singer gladly rose to the challenge, taking a blindfold taste test of some of the decade's hottest snacks and drinks. For every question he got right, he scored bragging rights for life. For every one he got wrong, well, we forced him to confront the more awkward side of nostalgia, answering a question every TRL-worshipping, '90s fangirl (or fanboy) wanted to know about the singer.

Over Pizza Lunchables and Capri Suns, the star got candid about the one *NSYNC song he wishes he'd never have to hear again, the diet that got him through his starving-artist years, and the cardinal sin you should never commit against a Pop-Tart.

HIS DIET IS A COMPLETE 180 FROM HIS BOYBAND BEGINNINGS.

"So many memories are coming back with these foods," he said, snacking on a frosting-covered Dunkaroos cookie. "When we first got together with *NSYNC in 1995, we all lived in a house together, and we had zero money. I lived off of hash browns made in a little Fry Daddy, and Pizza Bagel Bites. That's all I lived on for the first two years of our career."

Justin Timberlake on Harvey Weinstein sex allegations, working with Woody Allen - 10/26/17

inquirer.net, 10/26/17 --

Who would have foreseen that a Woody Allen film was in Justin Timberlake's future? In "Wonder Wheel," his first movie with the legendary auteur, the pop superstar not only portrays a major character, but he also plays the narrator.

While some critics carped that Justin's performance as Mickey, a Coney Island lifeguard and aspiring playwright, is more suited to Broadway than the big screen, a larger-than-life, ramped up portrayal was exactly what Woody asked for.

Justin, who was memorable as Sean Parker in David Fincher's "The Social Network," delineates a character who, once in a while, addresses the camera and says lines like, "I relish melodrama and larger-than-life characters."

His Mickey gets entangled in the lives of Ginny (Kate Winslet, stunning as an ex-actress-turned waitress); Humpty (Jim Belushi), a Stanley Kowalski-like boorish husband to Ginny's Blanche DuBois; and Carolina (Juno Temple), Humpty's daughter, who's being hunted by the mob.

As a singer, Justin continues to be one of the top music talents, who has won numerous honors, including trophies from the Grammy, Emmy and Billboard Music Awards. He told us he's very much enjoying his role as a dad to Silas, his 2-year-old son with wife, actress Jessica Biel.

Excerpts from our chat in New York:

How important was it for you to have somebody like Kate Winslet to play off against? Invaluable. Kate is without a doubt one of the favorite artists I've ever worked with on film. Kate is an international treasure, to put it lightly.

What was your experience like to work with Woody Allen for the first time? Working with Woody was an experience I've never had before working on a film.

I was very intimidated at first. But after a couple of days of going through the process with Woody, I found that I'd like to make every movie like I did with Woody. He doesn't do a lot of coverage and takes.

Lance Bass Ready for Baby Via Surrogate With Husband Michael Turchin - 10/25/17

Life & Style, 10/24/17 --

If all goes according to plan, Lance Bass will be saying bye, bye, bye to uninterrupted sleep and hello to a baby! The former *NSYNC singer is ready to expand his family with husband Michael Turchin and he is turning to a surrogate in 2018.

"We're going to hopefully do the surrogacy thing first before going the adoption route," Lance told Life & Style exclusively. "This year got away from us. We're really behind in our baby planning, but hopefully next year we'll be celebrating." The couple, however, does not have a preference when it comes to gender and is just happy they are able to become parents. "Thank goodness for science," Lance, 38, added.

The 90s House host also revealed while the couple does not have a preference when it comes to the baby's gender, picking out a godmother might be a bit trickier. Lance is BFFs with both Kris Jenner and Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump, so there is some stiff competition when it comes to the title.

"Well that would open up a whole can of worms because they would all be fighting to be the godparent so I don't know if I would be able to choose godparents," he previously told Life & Style. He would probably have a tough time picking between his former boy band members too...

Lance and Michael, 30, tied the knot in 2015 and made history as the first same-sex couple to get married on an American TV network. While they get ready to welcome a bundle of joy, Lance and Michael are getting some practice with their furbabies Lily, Dale, and Chip. Lance recently enjoyed doga (aka dog yoga) with his pup — and we can already see he is going to be a great dad!

Green-and-gold-clad Justin Timberlake explains why he backs the Pack - 10/25/17

channel3000.com, 10/25/17 --

Justin Timberlake made a video with the Packers explaining why he is a Green Bay Packers fan, while wearing a green and gold flannel.

Timberlake, being originally from the south, said when Brett Favre moved to Lambeau, so did his NFL allegiance.

"Basically, at that time, Brett Favre was the king of the south, you know, and being where I was from, when he went to Green Bay, that's when I think a lot of us in my hometown shifted to become Packers fans," Timberlake said.

He also added that going to a game at Lambeau Field is something every football fan should do within their lifetime as a bucket list item.

"You got to respect a team that the city owns," Timberlake said. "That is one of the coolest things, honestly, bucket list and I don't care who you love in the NFL, you have to go to Lambeau and see a game."

Best American Music Awards Performances No. 18: *NSYNC Sing 'Bye Bye Bye' With No Strings Attached at the 2000 AMAs - 10/25/17

Billboard, 10/25/17 --

In honor of the 2017 American Music Awards, Billboard is counting down the best performances from the awards show's history. Here is No. 18.

*NSYNC utilized their sophomore album title No Strings Attached in the video for "Bye Bye Bye," acting as puppets being controlled by a seemingly wicked woman as they danced to their smash hit in the song's opening. Before they even debuted the visual on Jan. 24, 2000 (on TRL, of course), they brought their now-iconic dance moves and real-life puppets of themselves to the AMAs stage on Jan. 17, 2000 -- just without the evil puppetress.

As the performance begins, *NSYNC's massive puppets appear to the tune of Pinocchio's "I've Got No Strings," which flawlessly transitions to a snippet of their song "No Strings Attached." In perfectly dramatic boy band fashion, the puppets collapse as Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick rise from the floor -- in coordinating get-ups of colored shirts and cargo pants -- and the dancing commences.

After spending almost all of 1998 and 1999 touring, *NSYNC already had showcased their impressive dancing skills around the globe. But "Bye Bye Bye" is absolutely the most classic of all of the group's dances throughout their career, and the AMAs served as the world's first chance to see that iconic choreography in action. How could that not make the AMAs best-of-all-time list?

Jog your memory (and dance along) with *NSYNC's first "Bye Bye Bye" performance below.

The 2017 American Music Awards will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. Vote for the AMAs on Billboard.com.

Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake and other 'Wonder Wheel' cast members talk about working with Woody Allen - 10/24/17

GMA News Online, 10/24/17 --

Just like the characters in his latest drama, "Wonder Wheel," Woody Allen remains as interesting and colorful.

The 81-year-old auteur-writer-musician, whose career spans more than six decades in a very competitive industry, remains grounded and quotable.

We talked to the award-winning filmmaker and his "Wonder Wheel" cast at the Ritz Carlton in New York. Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Jim Belushi and Juno Temple candidly shared their memorable experiences working with Allen among others.

Below are excerpts from our chats with Allen and the cast:

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE ("Mickey")

On his character Mickey who was also the narrator in the film: "I don't think I've every played a character where I actually narrate the film. It's Woody so it very much reads like a play. As I was reading it, I found the Eugene O'Neill references not as ironic as I thought they would be. But clearly the character was an aspiring playwright so I felt that probably was close to home for Woody himself. So I felt he was a really good reference for me to talk about how ambitious this character was."

On whether he suddenly wanted to break into a song at one point because of the very colorful set: "I don't know that that crossed my mind, but when I first walked on set to do one of those monologues, sitting up on that lifeguard chair, I had some really surreal moments. You look around and you see all these extras. You immediately just feel like you're in another time.

"I get what you're saying because the performance of Mickey is a performance because he's talking to the audience. The trickiest part, to be honest, was to almost dial it back because I felt like my character. He's in the story but he also has to be indifferent. He has to be indifferent about the morals of all the other characters because he's evolved as well.

There is something a little more grandiose about being 10 feet taller than everyone else around you, literally on a lifeguard chair and speaking into the camera. You're speaking to a theater full of people the same way you would on stage. It's your responsibility to tell the story in a way as to not influence the audience one way or the other. As the story goes on, you see that Mickey gets a little more honest about what he's dealing with."

On why he does not jump more into acting: "I guess the same could be said about my albums. I went solo in 2002 and in 15 years, I've only released three albums. Because the last one for me was a double album. I guess you could call it four albums technically. I can only tell you where I'm at now. I can tell you that it recently dawned on me that I actually really am a dad.

"I just really enjoy that. I feel lucky to have worked with such great people. As it pertains to the film industry, David Fincher, the Coen brothers, Woody Allen, I'm getting to work with artists who have changed the way I thought about and felt about movies. So to get to work with them, I feel like I owe it to myself to work with people who make you better at this point in my career, as far as it pertains to films."

Justin Timberlake to perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show - 10/22/17

Formula One Music: Justin Timberlake - 10/22/17

The Austin Chronicle, 10/22/17 --

Lights over the crowd gathered at F1's super stage on Saturday night went out as Frank Sinatra played over the P.A.: "I planned each charted course/ Each careful step along the byway/ And more, much more than this/ I did it my way." As "My Way" faded and Justin Timberlake appeared, the link between that song and the pop star's career trajectory felt undeniable.

The 36-year-old singer understands entertainment in that rare way of someone who's been working crowds professionally since childhood. The onetime Mouseketeer turned N'Sync leader turned international pop star is so present onstage that it's hard to imagine he doesn't evaporate into thin air as soon as he steps off of it. That stadium-sized charisma, honed by over 20 years of performances, kept the audience wrapped around his finger for just over an hour.

He zoomed through truncated versions of his songs with little break or banter in between, effectively making his show a medley of his own greatest hits. There were a few surprises, though. A rendition of "My Cherie Amour," by Sunday's F1 headliner Stevie Wonder, faded into an acoustic-driven version of "What Goes Around... Comes Around," finger-picked by Timberlake.

Early career dance hit "Rock Your Body" brightened via guitar and glistening synth lines, but quickly moved into the unabashed pop of 2016's "Can't Stop the Feeling," which was, in turn, capped by a brief nod to Bill Withers' "Lovely Day." Aside from the notable omission of "Pusher Love Girl," Timberlake hit all of the fan-expected high notes, and he did it at break-neck speed.

Through it all, he danced. He sang. And he didn't hold back on the bangers, either.

We have Timberlake! Also, now we now what's up with the abundance of fog machines. #f1 #usgp

A post shared by Deborah Sengupta Stith (@deborific) on

After all, that's expected at a pop show of this magnitude. What sets Timberlake apart, however, is his understanding of what's going on around him onstage, a rarity for a guy whose devoted fans would probably pay to see him sing karaoke. His massive backing band, the Tennessee Kids, are front-and-center live – literally, at times.

The brass section aligned with Timberlake at the front of the stage for the rollicking "Drink You Away." After a bleeding guitar solo on "My Love," which definitely isn't on the studio version, the bandleader introduced his backers as the "best band in the world."

"Try me," he dared.

It's more than a professional generosity. Timberlake respects and recognizes musicianship, which is how he translates even his poppiest cuts into robust performance. He took to the keys for "Señorita," briefly transforming the stage into a lounge, with horn players slinking around and back-up singers writhing at the piano. That left only a brimming Circuit of the Americas to sing along at the end. "LoveStoned" got juiced up by horns and disco-style guitar, buoyed by the singer's vocals even as he moved into the stripped-down interlude, his signature falsetto carrying the song to completion.

"I make a lot of the costumes, actually," explains Fatone, who shares 7½-year-old daughter Kloey Alexandra and 16-year-old daughter Briahna with wife Kelly. "Or I'll mix things together."

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Are One of Hollywood's Most Real Couples - 10/19/17

E! Online, 10/19/17 --

It's a very special day for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel...

Today marks the couple's five-year wedding anniversary, which—believe it or not—puts them in a small percentage of Hollywood couples who've made it that far!

But other than defeating the Hollywood couple curse and giving us some serious #RelationshipGoals with their beauty and overall love for each other, there's one thing that makes this A-list couple stand out: They're incredibly real.

From cheesy family photos to dancing in public like no one's watching to wearing matching t-shirts, this duo is actually a lot like all of us.

Their love goes beyond the spotlight of their red carpet moments and gushing about each other in magazine interviews. They also get to enjoy the fun, little moments of just being a normal couple that do totally normal things.

And if you don't believe us, the proof is in the pudding!

*NSYNC's Joey Fatone was envious of JC Chasez's 'sample size' style - 10/19/17

Page Six, 10/19/17 --

Joey Fatone stopped by Page Six to share his *NSYNC memories, including his biggest fashion fails. According to the 40-year-old crooner, the best-dressed member of the boy band was JC Chasez. "He was able to fit in all the sample sizes of new stuff that comes out," joked Fatone. "Who has a size 23 waist?" Since the group disbanded, Fatone has stayed close with Lance Bass, and revealed to Page Six that the guys still text each on holidays and big life moments, nearly 20 years after their debut album hit the US.

Rihanna Rules as No. 1 Artist In Pop Songs Chart's 25-Year History - 10/19/17

Billboard, 10/19/17 --

After piling up record after record (musically and achievement-wise) on Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart, Rihanna reigns as the No. 1 artist over the first 25 years of the survey, which began with the list dated Oct. 3, 1992.

Rihanna roared onto the ranking, which reflects the most-played songs each week on pop radio, according to Nielsen Music, in 2005 with her debut hit "Pon De Replay," her first of an unprecedented 30 top 10s. In 2006, she earned her first Pop Songs No. 1, "SOS," of 11, a record she shares with Katy Perry, the chart's No. 4 top artist.

Notably, Rihanna has reached historic heights despite having arrived on the chart more than halfway through its existence.

Rounding out the top five Pop Songs artists since the chart's inception 25 years ago, below Rihanna, P!nk places at No. 2; Maroon 5 ranks at No. 3, and reigns as the top group; Perry is No. 4; and Justin Timberlake claims the No. 5 spot, while ranking as the top solo male.

Justin Timberlake Wows in Woody Allen Movie, Says Super Bowl Deal Is Not Done, No Announcement - 10/15/17

Showbiz 411, 10/15/17 --

Justin Timberlake acquits himself as an actor in Woody Allen's "Wonder Wheel," a gorgeous looking drama that offers Kate Winslet in an Oscar buzzy performance, and Jim Belushi as a breakout possible Supporting Actor nominee.

"Wonder Wheel" doesn't open until December 1st, but it won raves last night at the closing of the New York Film Festival. Allen and Winslet waved to the audience at Alice Tully Hall from a box high above, but declined to accept kudos at Tavern on the Green, where they were absent. But Timberlake and Belushi were happy to make the scene, as well as Tony Sirico and Steve Schirrippa, the two former Sopranos who make a cameo in the film.

Justin was accompanied by his beautiful wife, Jessica Biel, who just wrapped her USA TV series. They are happy as clams, and Jessica raved about their two and a half year old son, Silas.

But when I asked Justin what to expect at his Super Bowl performance come February, I was surprised by the answer. "There's no announcement," he said. (Funny– so much time had passed I thought this was all done. Last year the NFL announced Lady Gaga on September 29th.) He and manager Rick Yorn each shook their heads. "No, nope, no, the NFL is still having issues of course with kneeling," Justin said. "There is nothing to announce."

So, that's a downer.

But "Wonder Wheel" — which I see is dividing press who saw it this week– I feel is a strong drama with moral twist that will surprise the audience. Winslet is extraordinary in her transition through the arc of the film. And her work in the third act will yield her many nominations and awards.

Review: Lance Bass and Larger Than Life dazzle at Mulcahy's - 10/15/17

Digital Journal, 10/15/17 --

On October 13, boy band Larger Than Life performed at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall, which featured Lance Bass from *NSYNC as their special musical host.

Larger Than Life was introduced by Lance Bass of the world renowned boy band *NSYNC, who got the Mulcahy's crowd pumped up about 90's Night.

"We have a long way to go tonight. Now, who has seen Larger Than Life before?" Bass asked, and the response was tremendous. "Damn, you have some groupies in the house. Well, I'm a big fan too, and I came to see their show. Guys, let's have some fun tonight. Shall we?"

Larger Than Life performed all of the boy band hits including their namesake tune "Larger Than Life," "Tearin' Up My Heart," as well as songs from New Kids on the Block. The more contemporary songs "Despacito" (Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber), "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" (Shawn Mendes), and "Can't Stop the Feeling" (Justin Timberlake) were added bonuses.

Particularly impressive about "Bye Bye Bye" was that Lance Bass jumped on stage and showcased his spot-on dance moves, where the audience went nuts, as rightfully so, as they were reliving their childhood.

Overall, it was a fun and entertaining night for all, especially for Larger Than Life members Edvin, Toly, Devin, Chris and Price, who were able to make this childhood dreams of theirs a reality (to share the stage with Lance Bass). As always, Larger Than Life did the Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC and the other boy bands proud. Their charisma and passion for performing is evident, as well as their love for Mulcahy's and their dedicated fans and listeners. Well done boys.

Social media would have been good and bad for *NSYNC - 10/14/17

Page Six, 10/13/17 --

Joey Fatone joined *NSYNC back in 1995, but he has some sage advice for any youngsters venturing into music today.

"You can pursue music and be a doctor . . . Always have the doctor as a backup plan just in case, but try both," he said at the Turn 2 Foundation gala.

He did not have such lofty goals himself. "My backup plan was to work at Universal or on a cruise line when I was younger," he revealed.

Meanwhile, if his boy band had come of age with social media, "I think we would have been a lot bigger on a faster scale." But then again, "if it was around when the group was at its height — they would have caught two things: Me walking out of a strip club and drinking under the age. S - - t happens!"

A 34-Year-Old FDA Ban on Gay Men Donating Blood Exists: Lance Bass Wants It Gone - 10/12/17

Billboard, 10/11/17 --

On October 2, the day after the Las Vegas massacre, Lance Bass phoned a friend. Already knowing the answer, he asked if blood donations were still banned for people like him.

"I called my friends that were donating blood at the Red Cross Vegas, just to see," he told Billboard. "I knew they would turn it down, of course, but I just wanted to have the ask out there again."

And what did the Red Cross say?

"Exactly what I knew they'd say," Bass replied. "That they can't receive a gay man's blood."

Since 1983, MSM, or "men who have sex with men," has been the CDC and FDA's legal and federal classification for a group of people whose blood is not welcome at national blood banks and local donation centers across the U.S. For the better part of 34 years, the government has held onto the controversial MSM ban, a policy that says homosexual male blood is "too risky" to use, and that a donation from an otherwise healthy man must be discarded to protect against potential population contamination and "HIV infection." The historic explanation behind MSM is statistically conservative and traditionally simplistic, one we're probably all too familiar with; the subsequent fall out from this existing policy is much messier.

In the early eighties, the emergence of AIDS was found to initially be associated with "male-to-male sexual contact," a disease thought to only be ailing the gay population. As new data emerged, scientists and government officials discovered that heterosexuals could also contract AIDS through commercial sex work (CSW) and intravenous drug use (IDU). In 1984 it was discovered that a virus, now known as HIV, caused AIDS, and HIV was something we could potentially screen for. By 1985, we had the first HIV screening tests for patients and potential donors.

Chris and Karly Kirkpatrick Welcome Son Nash Dylan - 10/11/17

PEOPLE, 10/10/17 --

It's a boy for Chris Kirkpatrick! The *NSYNC alum's wife Karly gave birth to the couple's first child, son Nash Dylan Kirkpatrick, on Tuesday, Oct. 10, his rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, baby Nash measured 19.5 inches and weighed 8 lbs., 9 oz.

Kirkpatrick, 45, and his wife revealed exclusively to PEOPLE in March that they were going to be parents, sharing a hilarious manipulated image of themselves in front of the movie poster for The Boss Baby.

"Karly and I are over the moon excited that we are welcoming a new addition to the family," Kirkpatrick told PEOPLE at the time. "We are both looking forward to becoming parents, and learning how much fun having a child will be."

For the spouses of almost four years, the concept of expanding their family has been on their minds for a while, according to the singer, dancer and voice actor.

"Karly wants to have kids really quickly, so we're going to do that. That's our plan," Kirkpatrick said in 2013. "We're definitely ready to have children – we both want them."

In May, the then-dad-to-be shared a photo to Twitter to reveal the sex of the baby, showing himself and Karly posing next to a paintball crossbow and sign that read, "Boy or girl?" with blue paint splashed across it.

Jimmy Fallon on Balancing His House Full of Women, Bromance With Justin Timberlake - 10/11/17

Entertainment Tonight, 10/11/17 --

Everything Is Mama for Jimmy Fallon's two daughters, Winnie and Frances.

ET's Cameron Mathison sat down with the Tonight Show host in the Rainbow Room of 30 Rock in New York City last week, where he opened up about his second children's book, and what it's like as the odd man out in a house full of ladies.

While Fallon keeps his eye on Franny, he says both his daughters already love performing. "They watch Daddy. They've seen me dress as a 15-year-old girl. They're kind of like, 'Yeah, that's what Dad does,'" he explained. "They just love to be silly and laughing. They're very happy kids."

The former Saturday Night Live star's kids also get a lot of sleep -- while their dad hangs out with pals like Justin Timberlake. "The book is short enough, so you can read the book and get the hell out of the bedroom," he joked, before dishing on his bromance with the singer.

"He's just a good guy, very creative," he shared. "I got a tandem bike for my birthday. Justin comes over and goes, 'Let's go ride it.' I go, 'Want to go bro biking?' And he's like, 'Bro biking! Let's do it!'"

"We just have a good time," Fallon added. "Who knows the adventures, what's going to happen?"

You Need Lance Bass' Mississippi Tater Casserole at Your Next Game Day - 10/11/17

Us Weekly, 10/11/17 --

Bless your heart, Lance Bass! The former *NSYNC member invited Us Weekly into his Los Angeles kitchen for one of the most decadent southern dishes – his Mississippi Tater Casserole. Y'all need to try this – watch the video to see how it's done.

The recipe, which he calls a "Mississippi staple," is the perfect comfort food dish for colder weather. "This dish is the epitome of the holidays to me. This is what the holidays taste like," he explained to Us. "Christmas, Thanksgiving, Super Bowl – yes that's a holiday in the south. You name it – 4th of July, this is the casserole that's on every table because it's the perfect side dish to anything."

The dish, which contains hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion, cheddar cheese, and cornflakes, and margarine is not for the faint of heart. Bass, 38, says that his friends love to make fun of his Southern cooking. "I love making this dish because when you present it to your friends, they kinda laugh at it at first because it has cornflakes on top. They're like what kind of Mississippi dish is this, it's so white trash. But when they taste it, it's the best thing they've ever had and they're all taking seconds home with them."

The recipe is the ideal side dish for a game day or a holiday, but can also be eaten any time of day. "It's very easy and it tastes so good. You can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Oh yeah – trifecta!" He said. "What's even better is – it's great the next day. You put it in the refrigerator and eat it cold the next morning – its good to go!"

Bass, who is currently the host of MTV's 90's House, built his own house and kitchen with food on his mind. "I built this kitchen a few years ago to pretend that I was on a cooking show, at all times." He revealed, "I'm that freak who loves Chef Ramsey, all the amazing TV chefs. My husband and I get together, he's my sous chef. I get to yell at him, its really fun. Stressful for him, but really fun for me."

Levi's Unveils 50 Collaborations to Boost Comeback - 10/6/17

Business of Fashion, 10/5/17 --

The word "Levi's" is practically synonymous with denim jeans. But the 164-year-old American heritage brand is hoping to expand its dominance to other product categories.

"We started saying, 'How do we pivot from share of denim to share of closet?'" says James 'JC' Curleigh, Levi's executive vice president and president of global brands. "And you find yourself exploring Levi's categories a little bit differently." That means belts, t-shirts, chambray shirts, knits, wovens and, most importantly for the brand at the present moment, the 1967 70505 Type III trucker jacket. With its signature front 'V' seams, the hardy workwear garment became fashionable when it was worn by the likes of George Harrison and Jefferson Airplane.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Type III trucker jacket, Levi's enlisted 50 influencers from around the world and asked them to customise or design their own versions of the trucker jacket, which will be revealed Thursday night at a splashy event before a crowd of about 400 influencers and members of the media at the Levi's Haus, a showroom-cum-performance space.

Collaborators hail from Mexico, China, India and everywhere in between and include musicians G-Dragon, Justin Timberlake, Diplo, Justice and Tinie Tempah; designers Virgil Abloh, Jun Takahashi, Masaba Gupta, Samuel Ross of A Cold Wall and Carla Fernández; models Karlie Kloss, Romee Strijd and Irene Kim; athletes Clayton Kershaw and Robbie Rogers, editors Laura Brown, Nick Sullivan, Emmanuelle Alt, Christine Centenera, Will Welch and Caroline Issa; entrepreneur Miroslava Duma; stylist Karla Welch; YouTube personality Jim Chapman, and many more — including the evening's performers, Chance the Rapper and Solange Knowles, and DJ, Snoop Dogg. The jackets, however, won't be for sale, but may go up for auction at the collaborator's discretion.

"Having these adjacencies with the people at the center of culture is super important, whether they are musicians or fashion designers," says Jonathan Cheung, Levi's head of design. "That's why events like this 50th anniversary are important. There's no immediate financial gain because we are not selling these jackets and we are not making reproductions of these jackets." For Cheung, the aim is to grow brand relevance, which will benefit the company's entire offering. "If you set your brand as a rocket ship, everything else will be pulled into the slipstream."

Reality Roundup: What Wouldn't Lance Bass Do? - 10/6/17

Sling, 10/5/17 --

Ladies and gentlemen, Lance Bass is AVAILABLE.

Not in the romantic sense (based on Bass's 2016 narrative, he and his husband may be starting a family any day now) – but professionally, he is – as his IMDB page confirms – a "jack-of-all-trades." No longer just a charming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cameo, the former *NSYNC member is (not so) quietly making a name for himself in the reality world.

90's House

My eyes still well up at the thought of one of the most touching scenes I have seen on television to date – a contestant, about to part with her beloved smartphone, gently cooing loving affirmations minutes before the two were torn apart by a Lance Bass with a plastic bin.

While not his first hosting gig (last year's Prince Charming is still fresh in the mind of some), Mr. Bass – together with fellow 90s throwback Christina Milan – are breathing new life into an old decade, as they guide young millennials throw a world of blue eye shadow, 'Blossom' hats, and multi-colored overalls.

Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry

The intimacy of Tyler Henry's séance setting offered a framework to get to know Lance Bass on a deeper level. His appearance with apparent BFF Jamie-Lynn Sigler (he officiated her wedding, so I guess that's real) revealed not only that the two spend their free time attending séances together (both on camera than off), but that Mr. Bass still openly references his days as pop culture correspondent on the Meredith Vieira Show (but refers to it as his own).

Battle of the Network Stars

Joining a virtual grab bag of television randos on "Team Variety" (including fellow boyband-er Joey "way faster than he looks" Fatone), Lance Bass offered up his running legs and throwing arm in the name of some healthy competition. He even let (slightly) loose in a show of comradery with his teammates, jumping into the pool to celebrate Team Variety's victorious TKO in the kayaking challenge.

My Kitchen Rules

Amidst the celebrity (and "celebrity") contestants, the real star of the dinner party challenge was Lance's dog Dingo (no offense to my own dog, but that is quite possibly the best dog name ever), who had a short cameo on the show's opening episode.

Still, there's (sometimes) more to life than cute dogs. Opening the Australian show remake were Lance Bass and his adorably southern mother, going head-to head with pop star Brandy and her brother, Kim Kardashian sex tape costar Ray J. But the experience of dining chez Brandy and Ray J – whose sole function seemed to be spitting food into the farmhouse sink – was no match for Lance's mom's shrimp-and-grits. And while fellow competitor (and former Real Housewife) Brandi seemed determined to steal the show, playing off her will they/won't they antics with her husband's ex-mistress's ex-husband, she ultimately could not light a candle to the overpowering luminescence of the Bass family star power.

First Trailer for Woody Allen's 'Wonder Wheel' - 10/4/17

Hot Springs Sentinel-Record, 10/4/17 --

It might be October, but it's still beach season in the first trailer for Woody Allen's Wonder Wheel.

The first footage from the film, which is set around Brooklyn's Coney Island neighborhood in the 1950s, arrived Wednesday, ahead of the project's world premiere next week at the New York Film Festival.

Kate Winslet stars as Ginny, the wife of a Coney Island carousel operator (James Belushi), who meets and falls for a handsome lifeguard named Mickey (Justin Timberlake). At the same time, her husband's estranged daughter (Juno Temple), resurfaces to hide out from gangsters at her father's apartment — and, as Winslet explained to EW earlier this year, also sets her sights on Mickey.

"There was not one single moment that I was not utterly terrified," the Oscar winner said of shooting the film. "It's an incredibly complicated character — maybe the most complicated female character I've ever had the challenge of grappling with."

Following its arrival at NYFF on Oct. 14, Wonder Wheel will be released in theaters on the awards-friendly date of Dec. 1.

Justin Timberlake spotted in Atascadero - 10/4/17

KSBY, 10/4/17 --

Singer Justin Timberlake and actress Jessica Biel were spotted in Atascadero on Wednesday afternoon.

KSBY viewer Josh Jennings was at the Starbucks at 7029 El Camino Real when he noticed he was in the company of the Grammy- and Emmy-winning celebrity.

"I was in line and I turned around and I saw him and I said, 'JT' to test the waters, to see if he would react, but he didn't," said Jennings, who noted the singer-songwriter-actor was wearing sunglasses at the time.

Jennings ordered a drink, stepped to the side, and began asking other people in Starbucks what they thought, and they said, "Yeah, that's him!"

So Jennings went in for the selfie: "Hey man, think I can get a picture?"

"I said I liked this movie called 'Southland Tales' that he was in and it made him laugh. It's such an obscure movie, he probably never heard that before," Jennings said.

Timberlake was in the area charging his electric car at the Tesla charging station near Rabobank, about a block away, locals say. KSBY viewer Akela Dooley met him there.

"My brother's fiancee was on break and was at Starbucks. She called and said, "Oh my God, you're not going to believe this, but Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are at Starbucks!" Dooley explained. "I said, 'Shut up!' and she said, 'No kidding!'"

Dooley works at the Starbucks but Wednesday was her day off. While her co-workers had to follow company policy and leave the celebrity customer be, Dooley was free to try to meet him.

"So me and my mom, a crazy Justin Timberlake fan, head toward there and see a guy in a red beanie walking down Morro Road. He was at Rabobank. Then we see this lady strolling, super happy, and we say, 'Are you Jessica?' and she says (sarcastically), 'Noooooo.'"

Dooley met up with Timberlake outside his car.

"He was super nice. He had a cold. He said, 'I'm sorry I'm sick right now,' but still took pictures with me and my mom," Dooley said. Biel stayed in the car.

The celebs told Dooley they were taking a trip up the coast.

The celebrity sighting happened the day after actor Will Ferrell was seen dining at a downtown Paso Robles restaurant.

Joey Fatone: *NSYNC Could Team with Justin Timberlake, Reunite at Super Bowl - 10/4/17

TMZ, 10/4/17 --

AN *NSYNC REUNION AT SUPER BOWL LII?!?!

Don't rule it out -- so says Joey Fatone ... who tells TMZ Sports there's definitely a possibility the gang could reunite if Justin Timberlake signs on to do the halftime show.

Important to note, neither JT nor the NFL have confirmed anything yet -- but there are reports the two sides are in talks.

So, when we saw Fatone out at LAX, we asked if he'd be interested in an *NSYNC reunion on the biggest stage in the world.

Joey reminded us of *NSYNC's 1-night reunion at the 2013 MTV Music Awards ... when he re-teamed up with JC, Chris and Lance for Justin. They also rocked out together at Super Bowl XXXV, FYI.

But as Fatone told us, a lot of pieces gotta fall into place -- from the NFL asking nice to all the boys being free.

If it IS all good -- "Then we do it ... it's pretty simple."

Fingers crossed people!

Lance Bass Blasts FDA Law Banning Gay Men from Donating Blood in Wake of Las Vegas Shooting - 10/3/17

People, 10/3/17 --

Like millions of Americans, Lance Bass was compelled to donate blood to help some of the 527 concertgoers injured during Sunday's deadly Las Vegas shooting.

But the Federal Drug Administration prevents men who've had sex with other men within the past 12 months from donating blood — preventing Bass, who is openly gay and married to husband Michael Turchin, from donating.

"How is it STILL illegal for gays to donate blood??!!" the 38-year-old singer wrote on Twitter Monday night. "I want to donate and I'm not allowed. 😤"

Other gay men spoke out about the ban in the wake of the Vegas tragedy.

"Antiquated, homophobic standards prevent gay men like me from donating life-saving blood," wrote one user.

"It infuriates me that gay & bisexual men can be turned away from donating blood in Las Vegas because of the @US_FDA's discriminatory policy," added LGBT advocate, writer, and speaker Shane Bitney Crone.

Behind the scenes of Woody Allen's 'Wonder Wheel' - 10/2/17

Page Six, 10/2/17 --

Lincoln Center's 55th NY Film Festival closer is Woody Allen's "Wonder Wheel."

Woody: "The eight-week shoot was set in Coney Island. I grew up nearby and always wanted to do a dramatic story against an amusement park's backdrop. 1950 was great with all those rides.

"Factored into post production time's budget was re-creating the Cyclone and Parachute Jump. I couldn't do that before for any reasonable money, but with special effects it's now not a prohibitive cost.

"Live portions were difficult because under boardwalk sections — which are now removed — is where people used to make love, so I had to intercut other places to stick into the movie."

How's it happen that every year he's out with another film and how is it that as this one's debuting he's already downtown filming another one for 2018?

"I once wrote for Sid Caesar's live show. Every Monday, I'd sit in the room, make up stories and have to come up with an idea. I grew up dreaming stories.

"My actors in this are Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Jim Belushi and young, attractive Juno Temple. They like good parts that aren't just car crashes. I sent the script. They were enthusiastic. Belushi I saw 40 years ago in a romantic part and I filed him away in my mind.

"The truth is, I'm no festival person. Except for Cannes, I don't usually do them. My wife likes Cannes. But 'Wonder Wheel' is for Amazon, and their people got me to do this one."

Taking place in diverse movie theaters across the city, from Zona Norte to Zona Sul, Rio's biggest cinema event will display diverse unreleased productions and promote debates and shows until October 15th.

Rio's International Film Festival was created in 1999 with the aim of fulfilling Rio de Janeiro's cultural potential and promoting the city as an address for the international audiovisual scene.

Justin Timberlake track tops lyric chart - 10/2/17

tv3.ie, 10/2/17 --

Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling! contains the most requested lyric on the Alexa device, a new chart has revealed. More people ask Amazon's voice assistant device to play the song containing the words "I've got that sunshine in my pocket" than any other lyric.

The catchy track is also at number three on Amazon Music's Top 50 Alexa lyrics chart for the line: "I got this feeling inside my bones."

The list shows that many people request memorable lines of a song rather than the title.

The line "True love won't desert you" from Journey's Separate Ways was second on the list, while "I came in like a wrecking ball", from Miley Cyrus's Wrecking Ball, was fourth.

The lyric "Once I was seven years old" from 7 Years by Lukas Graham rounded out the top five.

Lance Bass shares epic *NSYNC throwback as more celebrities post awkward teen pics to help rebuild Puerto Rico - 10/1/17

Entertainment Tonight, 10/1/17 --

Thanks to Stephen Colbert, the #PuberMe hashtag kicked off last week, and celebs have started to deliver the best photos of their awkward teen years for a good cause.

Colbert vowed that for every awkward photo from puberty that a celebrity shares on social media, he will take $1,000 from his Ben & Jerry's AmeriCone Dream earnings and donate that to helping rebuild Puerto Rico.

And now even more big names are getting in on the hilarious and helpful hashtag.

Lance Bass roped in all the members of *NSYNC with his epic throwback, that also celebrated the band's anniversary. He wrote in the caption, "22 years ago today I met these jackasses. My life would never be the same. Happy #NsyncDay #PuberMe #PuertoRicoRelief."

Joey Fatone named parade grand marshal - 10/1/17

Hot Springs Sentinel-Record, 10/1/17 --

Joey Fatone, who soared to fame in the 1990s as part of the groundbreaking boy band *NSYNC, will be the celebrity grand marshal of the First Ever 15th Annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade, Visit Hot Springs announced this week.

Fatone, who sang baritone with the group, will be joined by Jon Heder of "Napoleon Dynamite" fame as the parade's official starter. Free concerts at next year's parade will feature Morris Day and the Time and Grand Funk Railroad.

*NSYNC went on hiatus in 2002 and hasn't recorded new material since, according to The Associated Press. The group did reunite, though, for a one-off performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

Over the last decade, Fatone has gone on to find success as an actor, host, Broadway star, voice-over artist, dancer, media personality and his recent opening of his own restaurant, Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice, according to a biography provided by Visit Hot Springs.

Fatone's movie credits include "On the Line," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2," "The Cooler" alongside Alec Baldwin and William H. Macy, and "Homie Spumoni" with Whoopi Goldberg, Donald Faison and Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

He hosted the popular, long-running show "My Family Recipe Rocks!" on the Live Well Network, which highlights the stories of homegrown cooks and their homemade specialties from around the country. Fatone also hosted the cooking competition show "Rewrapped" on the Food Network, the biography said.

In addition to placing second on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2007, Fatone served as host of NBC's international hit series "The Singing Bee." He also hosted NBC's cirque competition series "Celebrity Circus." He earned his first producer credit for the cable television series "The Singing Office" on TLC, which he also co-hosted alongside Melanie Brown, it said.

His first acting gig came at age 7, when he starred with Robert DeNiro in the feature film "Once Upon a Time in America."

When Fatone was 17, he got a job at Universal Studios in the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue.

While there, he met another theme park performer, Chris Kirkpatrick, which led to his joining the group *NSYNC. Before long, *NSYNC was the hottest act in Europe, the U.S. and beyond, with millions of fans around the world. They quickly became one of the most iconic pop groups in history, the biography said.

In 1998, *NSYNC released its self-titled debut album, which went on to sell over 10 million copies, and it won an American Music Award for favorite new artist (pop/rock). In 1999, the band signed a new record deal with Jive records. Their album "No Strings Attached" sold 1 million copies in its first day of sales and 2.4 million for the first week, a record that still stands, the biography said.

Lance Bass Has a Text Chain With His Former *NSYNC Bandmates - 9/29/17

In Style, 9/28/17 --

Lance Bass has always been ahead of the trends. Back in the '90s, he pretty much put frosted tips on the map with his *NSYNC bandmate Justin Timberlake. But these days, Bass's interests are a little more … zen. His latest obsession is doga—that's right, dog yoga—the buzzy new way to do the downward dog with your actual pup by your side.

If you follow Bass on Instagram, you already know he's an animal lover and dog dad to 8-year-old rescue Lily as well as two new pups named Chip and Dale that he adopted earlier this year with husband Michael Turchin. But even the singer himself was a little skeptical about the doga fad—until he hit the mat himself.

Following his first doga class at The Den Meditation in L.A., we caught up with Bass about livin' the yogi life, his return to MTV, and the *NSYNC reunion that's (finally!) happening later this year.

I hear you're a doga expert now. What made you want to try it?

Yoga with animals around? Why not? It's such an L.A. thing to do, which is also hilarious. It was actually so much better than I ever thought. I didn't know that it was actual yoga, just with dogs running around.

What did your dog think of it?

My dog Chip is usually very hyper, and for some reason during the class he was calmer than I'd ever seen him. He did all the little moves with me. He's a natural.

Why do you think doga has become such a craze?

It's just a great bonding experience with your animal. When you look at each other in the eyes and you're stretching them, you bond in a completely different way. It's really fun and surprisingly still relaxing.

What's harder: learning doga or the dance moves to "Bye Bye Bye?"

The dance moves were a lot harder for me, that's for sure [laughs].

Which 90's MTV Shows Did Christina Milian And Lance Bass Love The Most? - 9/29/17

MTV, 9/29/17 --

During the 1990s, MTV ushered in several brand-new genres of television and was responsible for a slew of legendary shows that shaped the future of small-screen programming: Real World, Singled Out, TRL, Cribs and Making the Video are just a few. And now that the network is traveling back to the dopest decade in 90's House, which series stand out to hosts Christina Milian and Lance Bass?

"My favorite is Real World," "AM to PM" songstress Christina recently revealed to MTV News. "There were so many different people that were on the show, and they were coming from so many different aspects of life. It was the first time we were seeing this. It changed television."

For his part, Lance agrees that Real World (peep a clip from the inaugural New York installment above) was "amazing" -- but says another program holds a special place in his heart. And it's actually coming back to MTV ON MONDAY.

"It has to be TRL -- that was our breeding ground," the *NSYNC member fondly reflects. "It was incredible to come to Times Square and see the crazy crowd. That's what you ran home from school to watch."

Lights, Camera, Action: The 90's House Gang Is Getting Musical - 9/28/17

MTV, 9/28/17 --

In a sneak peek of this week's 90's House -- which is celebrating all of the good and great from this timeless era -- hosts Lance Bass and Christina Milian tell the eager, millennial-filled cast about their upcoming mission.

"You are going to make a brand-new music video to one of the most iconic songs of the decade," the *NSYNC member tells the visibly excited crew.

But what are the rules for the challenge? And how does Mark -- who had quite the strategic crying outburst during Week 1 -- feel about the task? Watch the clip to find out, and don't miss a brand-new episode of 90's House on Tuesday at 11/10c!

Justin Timberlake Mashed-Up A Cover Of Kendrick Lamar's 'Humble' With 'Cry Me A River' And Rocked Out - 9/28/17

Uproxx, 9/28/17 --

Justin Timberlake is the latest superstar to cover Kendrick Lamar's smash hit, "Humble." Using the hard-edged, West Coast banger to cap off performances of his own petty breakup anthem, "Cry Me A River," he's incorporated a perfect blend of the two that is a big hit with audiences, judging from the video above.

Timberlake has been tapped to perform at next year's Super Bowl halftime show, which might be a fantastic venue for this excellent mashup, but even if he doesn't perform this particular rendition of the hit single from his solo debut, Justified, that won't stop "Humble" from being one of the biggest hits of the year.

When Kendrick Lamar surprise-released "Humble" in spring of this year, it became one of the most talked-about and covered singles of his to date. His own live performances have been incendiary and visually dynamic, featuring acrobatic, flaming ninjas, and even the folksy, parody-cover performed on South Park could almost stand on its own.

There was even a bit of a backlash over the video and a couple of lines in the song, but in the end that didn't prevent "Humble" from hitting no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Damn from being one of Kendrick's most successful albums in a career that hasn't really seen anything less.

Rumor Alert: Justin Timberlake 'Is Finalizing' Deal to Perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show - 9/27/17

Us Weekly, 9/27/17 --

Justin Timberlake is getting back in the game. Thirteen years after his controversial Super Bowl halftime performance with Janet Jackson birthed the term "nipplegate" the 10-time Grammy winner — who's currently working on his fifth solo album — has been asked to take the stage at the NFL championship in Minneapolis on February 4.

An insider reveals the 36-year-old "is finalizing" his deal, and though reports suggested the dad of 2-year-old son Silas (with wife Jessica Biel) might perform with onetime collaborator Jay-Z, the insider says, "as of right now, it will just be Justin — no surprise performers."

Timberlake threw it back to his *NSYNC days at the 2017 Super Bowl, when he appeared in a surprise Bai Antioxidant Infusions water commercial alongside Christopher Walken. In the ad, the legendary actor, 74, did a dramatic reading of the pop band's hit "Bye Bye Bye."

Timberlake and the official Twitter account for *NSYNC shared the commercial afterward. "Here goes... #BaiBaiBai. With the one and only #ChristopherWalken. @DrinkBai #SB51," Timberlake tweeted. The band's page added: "Bye Bye = Bai Bai."

Timberlake's 2004 performance with Jackson not only caused a stir, but changed the rules of the annual broadcasted sporting event as well. Following the shocking end to their performance of Timberlake's hit "Rock Your Body" – in which he pulled part of Jackson's costume off, briefly revealing her pierced nipple and right breast – the Federal Communications Commission cracked down on new policies and a five-second broadcast delay during live performances was implemented.

Lance Bass leaves *NSYNC's boy band days behind as he turns to hosting, including NC Pride - 9/26/17

newsobserver.com, 9/26/17 --

*NSYNC's Lance Bass will give NC Pride some star power in Raleigh. The 33rd annual Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Festival is this weekend, and the former boy bander is set to host the festivities Friday and Saturday at Legends Nightclub Complex in downtown Raleigh.

But you might see Bass elsewhere in downtown Raleigh, too. NC Pride falls the same weekend as Wide Open Bluegrass, which features bluegrass music all over downtown Raleigh as part of the International Bluegrass Music Association's annual conference. Bass, who was one of the biggest pop stars around a decade and a half ago, is a fan.

"I love bluegrass," Bass said by phone from California, just a few days before the Tuesday premiere of his new MTV series "90's House."

"It and blues are my favorite type of music," he said. "As a kid in Mississippi, we were definitely into it. I was in different groups, very country and bluesy. But once I joined *NSYNC, I never got to sing that style again."

*NSYNC was more than just a boy band. It was one of the biggest musical groups of the '90s, featuring Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake. The group sold millions of albums, setting records for copies sold in a day and in a week. They epitomized the MTV "TRL" generation, gaining fame at the same time as fellow boy bands Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees.

After they went their separate ways, Timberlake went on to a highly successful solo career and gained credibility for his acting. That seems like long ago for Bass. He came out as gay in 2006, married in 2014 and is known as a gay rights advocate.

But the '90s aren't completely in his past. He and singer-actress Christina Milian co-host "90s House," a competition show in which a dozen millennial housemates spend up to a month in a 1990s-vintage house trying to get by without 21st-century conveniences. The first episode airs Sept. 26.

"Since I'm the host, I get to keep my cellphone," Bass said with a laugh. "But the kids have to deal with AOL dial-up, no cellphone and all that. It's an amazing social experiment. And since it's set in the '90s, I get to play myself in 1995. I'm overcompensating with pretending I'm straight, wearing awful clothes and doing all the good lingo."

But in Raleigh, his main order of business will be to represent at NC Pride. As with similar Pride events, marches and festivals across the country, NC Pride is a celebration for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Past NC Pride hosts have included Raleigh native Randy Jones.

"I host a lot of different Pride events around the country," Bass said. "My job as host is to introduce people. But it's also to set the tone, keep things upbeat."

But he may have a chance in Raleigh to get back to his roots. Told about the bluegrass festival, Bass sounded happy about the confluence of events.

"Oh, I might have to sneak away and go see some bluegrass," he said. "It depends on my hosting duties, if I'll be able to get away at all. I do really want to check it out."

Inside '90s House, MTV's new show where contestants live with pre-1999 technology - 9/26/17

Entertainment Weekly, 9/26/17 --

Hey, remember the '90s? Want to party like it's 1999? Good news: Premiering Tuesday, the network's new reality competition series, 90's House, does its best to honor the decade by placing 12 millennial contestants together in a house to compete in era-appropriate tasks — all without the cold comforts of modern technology.

What to expect from the show? We asked the hosts, Lance Bass and Christina Milian, to give us the 4-1-1 (that's what people in the '90s used to call for information; think phone Google) on the new series.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Is it an immediate yes when MTV asks you to be part of a show that let's you step back in time to the best decade?

LANCE BASS: Best decade ever! They asked me to do it last spring and immediately I was like, "Uh, yeah that sounds amazing." When we were in the '90s I was like, "There's no way this decade will ever come back in style, it's terrible," but now I look back and it was a really good decade!

CHRISTINA MILIAN: Once I spoke to MTV and they explained everything and that it was a homage to the '90s, I was like, "This is cool." Plus, I had a relationship with Lance – I'd toured with him in the '90s.

LB: Yeah, I've know Christina forever. She used to be our opening act in, I think, '99 so we've known each other for a very long time. I couldn't have asked for a better co-host.

Tell us about the show. You put these contestants into a house and take away everything that was invented after '99, right? So — shock, horror — no smartphones?

LB: Yes! We take their cell phones away, they get AOL dial-up, and they have a Bop It to play with. They unplug from the world. I love social experiments like this. Big Brother is my favorite show and this really reminded me of it. Just a few days in, they really started getting into this game and they didn't even realize they didn't have cell phones on them. That was really encouraging to see; they actually had to talk to each other. It was great to see just the relationships that formed because of that situation and, of course, when you're stuck in a house for a month you have to form relationships and a lot of them became best friends and then a lot of them hated each other, but that's life!

CM: Right, there's no cell phones, no social media. They can have a pager and they have regular phones that are hooked up to the walls. They have AOL chatrooms, but who wants to sit there and wait for dial-up? Dial-up takes forever.

Heard of Doga? Lance Bass Talks Dog Yoga and His New Show 90's House - 9/26/17

Parade, 9/26/17 --

As a teenager in the '90s and member of *NSYNC, Lance Bass remembers frosted tips, overly baggy jeans and weird pleather jackets well. Bass was just 16 years old when the boy band was formed and began its ascent to the top of the pop charts and girls' crush lists with hits like "Tearin' Up My Heart" and "I Want You Back." Now 38, Bass is taking a trip down memory lane this fall as host of a new reality series. With co-host Christina Milian, he'll revisit the embarrassing clothing of his past in 90's House, premiering Tuesday, September 26 at 11 p.m. ET on MTV. The competition show pits millennials against each other to see who can survive longest without Snapchat and other modern indulgences, while living in a house decked out in '90s style, to win some pretty big prizes, including $90,000.

An advocate for pet adoption, Bass is also busy raising two new fur babies, along with a 7-year-old dog. He and husband Michael Turchin became proud puppy parents in February when they took home two dogs from the Vanderpump Foundation, a dog rescue organization co-founded by friend Lisa Vanderpump. The adorable duo named Chip and Dale even have their own Instagram account.

Now Bass is teaming up with Natural Balance to share the benefits of quality pet food, and that, along with a healthy diet, exercise is just as important. To celebrate the release of Natural Balance's Limited Ingredients Diets High Protein Formulas, Bass got his pups in on the fun during a "doga," or dog yoga, class. That's right, you can do yoga with your dog! This definitely works better if you have a smaller dog, but larger breeds are also welcome. If you need an excuse to try it, now is the perfect time as September is National Yoga Month.

Bass spoke with Parade about the importance of a good doggy diet, his first doga class and punishing millennials in 90's House.

Lance Bass Was 'Jealous' of a Lot of the Backstreet Boys' Songs - 9/26/17

Us Weekly, 9/26/17 --

The rivalry was real. Former *NSYNC member Lance Bass opened up to Us Weekly about all things '90s, including his days as a boy bander, touring with Britney Spears and his one time rivalry with the Backstreet Boys. Watch the video [here]!

Bass, 38, revealed that while *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys battled each other to the top of the music charts and the coveted spot of every teenage girl's heart, he did admit that their competition was "fun," even if he was "jealous of a lot of their songs."

"It was an outright competition," Bass told Us Weekly. "We didn't really know each other and the record label would like to pit us together like Christina [Aguilera] and Britney [Spears]."

However, Bass had no trouble deciding between Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle" and Spears' "…Baby One More Time" saying "I gotta have my girl Britney."

"I remember she gave me the CD single before it was even out and I remember listening to it and I was like wow this is good," Bass recalled. "I listened to it again and I was like this is really great, by the fourth time I was like this is a hit and it didn't take off for months."

Yet, Bass, along with his *NSYNC band mates — Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone — were there as Spears went from a relative unknown to a superstar while she toured with them in 1998.

"I remember the first half of the tour she was getting booed off the stage, the girls didn't like her," Bass told Us Weekly. "About halfway through the tour the song started to catch on and by the end of the tour she was a superstar."

Bass will now be reliving several of his '90s memories as host of MTV's 90's House alongside Christina Milian.

"It's a game show kind of like Big Brother where these millennials move into a house and they get unplugged from the world," Bass explained. "No cell phones, they have AOL dialup have a bop-it, wear terrible clothes."

The winner of the show will win $90K, a Mazda Miata and tickets for two on board the Ship-Hop I Love the 90's Cruise.

*NSYNC's Lance Bass talks "Doga," heading back to the '90s as MTV show host - 9/26/17

CBS News, 9/26/17 --

It's been 22 years since the popular boy band *NSYNC first formed, and now Lance Bass wants to go back — well, to the '90s at least.

The former band member is recreating the dopest decade as host of the new MTV show "90's House" with Christina Milian, which premieres Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET.

And that's not the only thing he's bringing back.

"Frosted tips? You better believe it!" Bass told CBS News. "They never left. Are you kidding me? My hair is blonder than its ever been in years."

The 38-year-old has been reminiscing about the band's glory days while taping the new reality show, which places 12 millennials in a '90s-inspired house, forcing them to unplug their modern-day devices and party like it's 1990.

"They freak out a little bit," Bass described. "But it was really cool to see this social experiment unwind, because after a couple days they got used to not having their electronics and they really started having these amazing relationships — good and bad."

Preparing for the show's premiere has been Bass' top priority, but the star, who is also an ambassador for Natural Balance pet food, says he still manages to make time for things that are important to him, like fitness and spending time with his three dogs Lily, Chip and Dale.

Thousands Pack Scott Stadium for 'A Concert for Charlottesville' - 9/25/17

nbc29.com, 9/24/17 --

On Sunday night, "A Concert for Charlottesville" brought groups of people to Scott Stadium for a night of musical and social harmony. The concert was organized as a response to the violence that took place in the city on August 11 and 12. The free benefit event drew in crowds from all over central Virginia.

"I'm so excited to see Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton," says Leeanna Chittum, a Charlottesville resident.

"I'm glad to be here," says Charlottesville resident Nancy Stuhl.

"I really wanna see Ariana Grande and Justin Timberlake," says Gina Madison, a Palmyra resident.

People of all ages came out on Sunday, September 24, for the concert to see big name performers take the stage. Musical artists like Dave Matthews Band, Ariana Grande, The Roots, Justin Timberlake, and others took the stage to spread the message of unity in Charlottesville in response to the hate that took over the city on August 12.

"I'm here to celebrate a new tone in Charlottesville since of late it's been very aggressive and unsupportive and divisive, so I'm here for that reason," says Stuhl. "It's a feel-good, unifying event and it's free."

"I'm actually happy because after all that happened, the rally, this is uniting everybody together again," says Melonia Polania, a Charlottesville resident.

Scott Stadium was filled with fans listening to music, cheering on their favorite singers. And, most of all, the concert will hopefully help people wind down after the events of August 12.

"This is my 26th time I've seen Dave Matthews," says Darrell Nebers, a Nashville, TN, resident. "I ended up being able to get the day off. The fact that it's for a great cause, come to see friends, so why not show up in Charlottesville for the concert? It's an incredible event. It's epic."

Performers banded together to put on this free show for the people of central Virginia, hoping that it would help heal the community following the Unite the Right rally.

"I think it's great," says Chittum. "I think it's an amazing thing that they're doing for everyone. I think for the healing process of Charlottesville, I think it's gonna help out a lot with it and bring people together."

All the proceeds from the concert will be going to the victims of the Unite the Right rally and their families. It will also benefit the first responders and organizations devoted to healing, unifying, and bringing justice to both the Charlottesville community and nationwide.

Lance Bass' Most Memorable 90's Moment? Meeting The Spice Girls - 9/25/17

MTV, 9/25/17 --

Lance Bass and Christina Milian are pulling a Marty McFly by going back to another decade with 90's House. And since MTV's brand-new series (which premieres tomorrow night at 11/10c) is taking the singers to the era of "Goosebumps," Polly Pocket and JNCO jeans, we asked the singers to share their favorite moments from the very special era.

"There were so many quintessential things that I got to experience," Lance recalled. "One was meeting the Spice Girls at the airport in Germany -- that was pretty cool. It was right when 'Wannabe' came out. Also getting to perform with Aerosmith, the greatest band ever. And of course, I had every slap bracelet known to man."

Like Lance, Christina's favorite times during the decade centered around music.

"My favorite memory was making videos with my girlfriends," the singer revealed. "We would watch P Diddy videos. I wanted to be signed to either Def Jam or Bad Boy so bad, and his videos were just so lit. You're seeing silver and gold and all these amazing outfits that they had on, and the videos were so popping. We would come up with our own dances and we would record them."

If you were around in the '90s, what's your favorite memory from the decade? Spill in the comments, and don't miss 90's House premiering tomorrow at 11/10c (peep a sneak peek of the upcoming installment below).

See Justin Timberlake Sing Sam Cooke's 'A Change Is Gonna Come' at Pilgrimage - 9/24/17

Rolling Stone, 9/24/17 --

Justin Timberlake covered Sam Cooke's classic "A Change Is Gonna Come" at the singer's headlining set Saturday at Tennessee's Pilgrimage Fest, Timberlake's first full U.S. performance of 2017.

The singer opened his Pilgrimage set with the 1963 single, an anthem of the civil rights movement and Number 12 on the Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs.

While Timberlake didn't elaborate on his decision to cover "A Change Is Gonna Come," it was likely a show of solidarity with those fighting for social change and staging protests during the Trump presidency; Pilgrimage marked Timberlake's first U.S. show since the 2016 election.

At the Global Citizen concert Saturday in New York, Stevie Wonder took a knee "for America" to support to the athletes staging similar protests following Donald Trump's latest comments that condemned NFL players for exercising their rights.

Timberlake and his band ended their bluesy take on the Cooke song by segueing into the singer's own "Drink You Away."

Also during the Pilgrimage set, Timberlake reunited with country singer Chris Stapleton onstage for an extended appearance that featured songs like "Tennessee Whiskey," "Fire Away" and "Sometimes I Cry."

Dave Grohl On Justin Timberlake's Guest Appearance On Foo Fighters Album: 'He Was Such A Pro' - 9/24/17

blabbermouth.net, 9/24/17 --

FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl spoke to U.K.'s Absolute Radio about Justin Timberlake's guest appearance on the band's new album, "Concrete and Gold".

"He's the greatest," Dave said (see video below). "He's fun, he's smart, he's funny, obviously he's really talented. He's fun to hang out with. I mean, his career has taken him to quite a ride — going from the band that he was in when he was young and then going solo and then all the acting and stuff. He's really legitimized himself as an artist and a songwriter. And when he came in to sing on this song with us, he was such a pro, man — it was just like that [snaps fingers]; his pitch, his singing, everything was perfect. And then he gets behind the desk and he says, 'Okay, you might wanna roll off a little 2K on the high-frequency thing with the three-part harmony, favor this line over the others because that's the root note. He seemed like a producer, you know."

Prior to announcing Timberlake as the mystery guest on "Concrete And Gold", Grohl previously described the singer and sometime actor as the "world's biggest pop star" and "more than a pop star," adding that he'd "been around a long time."

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Grohl said that FOO FIGHTERS' collaboration with Timberlake came about because they were recording at the same Los Angeles studio and would hang out. Grohl explained, "We'd drink whiskey in the parking lot. He was really, really cool. Then the night before his last day, he says, 'Can I sing on your record? I don't want to push it, but — I just want to be able to tell my friends.'"

Timberlake ended up doing background "la la la" vocals on the song "Make It Right".

Grohl first teased fans about the collaboration in June, telling fans, "I'd never spent time with this person, and we had a blast together."

'90's House' Hosts Christina Milian and Lance Bass Bring Us Back to the 90s - 9/22/17

TV Insider, 9/22/17 --

Ready for a throwback? MTV is premiering a competition reality series called 90's House, where 12 millennial housemates must adjust to life without their cell phones or social media, among other challenges related to the decade. If they successfully unplug and sweep the competition during the show's challenges, the winner will take home two VIP tickets to a 90's cruise, a Mazda Miata and $90,000.

Hosts Christina Milian and Lance Bass gave us the skinny on the show and answered a lightning round of questions about their favorite 90s-related things.

And scroll down a bit for an exclusive video clip from the series!

What are we going to see in this crazy, nostalgic series?
Lance Bass:
A lot of bad clothes and some really bad puns. It was really the silliest show I've ever been a part of, just to walk down memory lane and be reminded of the good old days. As a kid of the 90s it just felt so cool to be reminded of your favorite music and all these great icons who come to the house. It was amazing, and it was a great social experiment to see these millennials have to deal with not being on a cell phone, having AOL dial-up, and the only thing you can play with is a Bop-It or your Nintendo 64.

Can you explain the format? How is it going to play out?
Bass:
If you like shows like Big Brother, it's like that. It's a competition show where a group of people have to live in a house, and one by one they get kicked out. The one that acts the least 90s is the one who gets kicked out of the house, and we do that by tons of different games and competitions throughout the season, like shoot music videos for MTV and doing all kinds of fun things.

What to you is absolutely essential for a show called 90's House to have in it?
Milian:
I think the most essential thing is to have a boom box, a cassette player, or a VHS, because those are the last days, especially for VHS tape, so I would definitely say a whole plethora of Blockbuster movies on VHS.

Bass: You have to have a Furby. We have tons of those in the house. And you have to have terrible, terrible clothes. You'll see every outfit that I wear is just horrible. I cover from 1990 to 1999, so we're talking about MC Hammer, going into In Living Color and Saved by the Bell, and into our awful NSYNC looks. But of course Christina Milian rocks every outfit that she wears on the show. I'm like, "How do you look so good and I look like a tool bag?"

Pilgrimage Festival doubles in size thanks to Justin Timberlake - 9/22/17

The Tennessean, 9/21/17 --

To state the obvious, putting on a successful music festival is tough.

The founders of the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin have faced their share of challenges since holding their first event in 2015.

And one of the hardest things they've ever had to do? Try to play it cool when Justin Timberlake — among the most famous singers in the world — said he'd like to perform at their festival.

"(We were) trying to contain our excitement when it first came up," Kevin Griffin recalls with a laugh. "We were like, 'Well, that could work.' "

Luckily, Griffin and co-producers Brandt Wood and Michael Whelan had been carrying on a conversation with the pop star and his team for a while. Their paths crossed organically, not long after Timberlake purchased land in Franklin's neighboring town, Leiper's Fork. Last year he signed on as a partner and co-producer of the festival, giving the second annual Pilgrimage a considerable boost in visibility.

But this year — when Pilgrimage announced Timberlake would be headlining the third annual fest, in one of his only 2017 appearances — that boost went to another level.

Pilgrimage expects more than 25,000 in attendance for each day of the two-day fest — nearly double the numbers of last year. In fact, it came close to selling out, until the festival got permission from the city to sell an additional 2,500 tickets. (At press time, single-day and weekend passes were still available.)

Still, organizers are confident that attendees will have plenty of elbow room. Griffin says their space on Harlinsdale Farm could hold 50,000 comfortably, and they've considered the guest experience.

"This will be twice as many people as we've had, so we want to make sure that we're ready," he says. "And we've done that. We've redoubled our efforts and considered everything that could be a challenge. So we're excited to take the experience to the next level."

The Shadowboxers, Justin Timberlake's New Act, Debut New Single 'Hot Damn!' - 9/21/17

JustJared.com, 9/21/17 --

The Shadowboxers just debuted their new single, premiering exclusively on JustJared.com today (September 21) – and it's so good, it'll have you saying "Hot Damn!"

The R&B-leaning three member troupe – made up of members Adam Hoffman, Matt Lipkins and Scott Tyler – is Justin Timberlake's latest act: he discovered them, signed them to his Villa 40 artist development company, and is now working to develop their sound.

"'Hot Damn' is a song about the measurement of love, the pain of it feeling trivial to someone else, and the hardiness to call that out," the group explains.

"This is the first song we've ever recorded that captures all of the energy of our live show and sums up perfectly who we are as a band right now. Working with Justin Timberlake is a dream come true and he is an amazing collaborator in the studio. He wanted us to do what we do and he helped to take that vision and push it far as it could possibly go."

They're currently in the studio with both Justin and songwriter-producer K-Kov.

Listen to "Hot Damn!" below! You can also stream the song on Spotify on Friday (September 22).

Justin Timberlake, Kate Winslet Take Coney Island In Photos From Woody Allen's Wonder Wheel - 9/19/17

Entertainment Weekly, 9/19/17 --

For a film set in 1950s Coney Island by a filmmaker born in Brooklyn, the world premiere of Woody Allen's Wonder Wheel will appropriately be at the New York Film Festival next month. With its first trailer still to come, Amazon Studios revealed a new poster and batch of photos, featuring stars Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, and James Belushi. Ahead, see more from the film, which hits theaters Dec. 1.

Wonder Wheel revolves around Ginny (Winslet), the wife of a carousel operator (Belushi), who perks up when she falls for a handsome lifeguard named Mickey (Timberlake). But when her husband's estranged daughter, Carolina (Temple), resurfaces and also sets her sights on Mickey, it begins "the great unraveling of Ginny," Winslet explained in EW's Fall Movie Preview.

Winslet also said she and Timberlake got along swimmingly during production. "He's such a wonderful person," she added. "I would turn to him and say, 'Do you know what, Justin Timberlake? The best thing about you being in this film is that you're really not "Justin Timberlake." If you had really been "Justin Timberlake" it could have been a complete nightmare, but really you're not "Justin Timberlake" at all, you're just some guy named Justin.' He's totally unvain, he has an absolutely infuriating ability to learn lines fast, and he's an all around great person — humble, fun, hard-working, easygoing, no ego. Such a joy, really."

Hear Foo Fighters' "Make It Right" Featuring Justin Timberlake - 9/16/17

Spin, 9/15/17 --

Foo Fighters have released their ninth studio album, Concrete and Gold. The album is packed with contributions from Boyz II Men's Shawn Stockman and The Kills' Alison Mossheart alike, thanks in part to Dave Grohl's penchant for holding barbecues on studio grounds.

The most hyped-about contribution, however, comes courtesy of Justin Timberlake. Months ago, Growl had boasted and teased that "the biggest pop star in the world" would feature on the album. "We'd drink whiskey in the parking lot," Grohl said to Rolling Stone. "He was really, really cool. Then the night before his last day, he says, 'Can I sing on your record? I don't want to push it, but – I just want to be able to tell my friends.'"

If you're in search of Justin's voice, he contributed a string of "la la las" to the track "Make it Right," which Growl said the singer "nailed."

'Hand in Hand' telethon raises more than $44 million for hurricane survivors - 9/13/17

ABC News, 9/13/17 --

A-list celebrities came out in droves on Monday night to take part in the "Hand in Hand" hurricane relief benefit, which raised more than $44 million for the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

During the telethon, Stephen Colbert announced that Apple was donating $5 million and Jimmy Fallon added that Albertsons Cos. and Merck each gave $1 million.

NBA star Chris Paul also said that the NBA Players Association, which donated $500,000, would match any professional basketball player's donation up to $20,000.

"We come together today to love on people that have been devastated by the hurricanes," Stevie Wonder, who sang "Lean on Me," said at the start of the telethon. "When love goes into action, it preferences no color of skin, no ethnicity, no religious beliefs, no sexual preferences, and no political persuasions. It just loves."

Throughout the hour-long benefit, which was broadcast on four networks, including ABC, celebrities stressed the importance of unity. However, the current politic climate was referenced at several points. In video addresses, Drake admitted that that news cycle recently has been "extremely overwhelming," while Beyonce noted that, "it's impossible to watch the news without seeing violence or racism in this country."

"Just when you think it couldn't possibly get worse, natural disasters take take precious life, do massive damage, and forever change lives, leaving behind contaminated water, flooded hospitals, schools, and nursing homes and countless families are now homeless," she continued. "Natural disasters don't discriminate. They don't see if you're an immigrant, black or white, Hispanic or Asian, Jewish or Muslim, wealthy or poor. It doesn't matter if you're from [Houston neighborhoods] Third Ward or River Oaks, we're all in this together."

Beyonce, a Houston native, also touched on climate change, pointing out other natural disasters that have taken place around the world in the past few weeks, including flooding in India and an earthquake in Mexico. Wonder also discussed the issue, and had harsh words for climate change deniers.

"Anyone who believes that there is no such thing as global warming must be blind or unintelligent," he said.

The telethon was also punctuated by stars including Kerry Washington, Sean "Diddy" Combs; Oprah Winfrey and Cher; and Justin Timberlake telling stories of those who were directly impacted by the hurricanes, as well as performances in locations around the country. In Nashville, Usher and Blake Shelton sang "Stand By Me," while George Strait, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett sang "Texas" and "I Believe" from San Antonio. Other performances included Luis Fonsi and Tori Kelly singing "Hallelujah," Brad Paisley, Demi Lovato, Darius Rucker, Cece Winans performing "With a Little Help from My Friends," and Dave Matthews singing "Mercy."

Comic Relief USA, the nonprofit behind Idol Gives Back, will manage the donations and distribute them to organizations including the Rebuild Texas Fund, Feeding Texas, Habitat for Humanity and United Way of Greater Houston.

Originally, the Hand in Hand telethon was meant to benefit the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas. It was later expanded to include those affected by Irma, which hit the southeast this weekend. It has been estimated that the storms caused between $150 billion and $290 billion in damage to Texas and Florida.

At least 70 people died during Hurricane Harvey, and 22 deaths have been reported in the U.S. from Hurricane Irma.

Justin Timberlake, Travis Scott, Dave Matthews, Leonardo DiCaprio Join 'Hand in Hand' Hurricane Relief Line-Up - 9/12/17

Billboard, 9/12/17 --

Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews, Leonardo DiCaprio and Travis Scott are among the names that have been added to the growing list of participants in Tuesday night's (Sept. 12) "Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief." The one-hour special (8-9 p.m. ET) that will air on all major TV networks was organized by manager Scooter Braun and Houston rapper Bun B, with artists appearing in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville. (See full list of confirmed participants below.)

The telecast will be available on ABC, BET, Bravo, CBS, CMT, E, Fox, HBO, iHeartMedia, MTV, NBC, Oxygen, SiriusXM, Univision and Westwood One, along with AOL, Apple Music, Beats 1, Facebook, HuffPost, Twitter, Yahoo and YouTube, with proceeds going to the following charities: Rebuild Texas Fund, ASPCA, Best Friends, Direct Relief, Feeding Florida, Feeding Texas, Habitat for Humanity, Save the Children and United Way.

After raising $13 million for the British Red Cross through an all-star concert event in Manchester following the bombing outside the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester that left 22 people dead, Braun teamed with Bun B to try and help those impacted by this month's two killer storms. "It just kind of came to me one morning, looking at the television, seeing what people are going through and wanting to try to put as big an effort as possible together," Bun B told EW about the idea for tonight's event.

As with any telethon of its kind, the next step involved assembling a list of people who could get the most attention for the special, starting with Braun.

"Whether they lost people or they lost homes, or whatever it may be, if you can do something, you should," Braun said. "My hope is that, with this, we inspire people in our industry and in other industries to do something also. During this time, when there's so much division, we need to fight back with action and unity. … This is bigger than Texas, this is bigger than Florida. We want to come together as a nation and believe in that idea that we all signed up for, that when things get tough, we stick together."

The all-star show aimed at raising funds for those impacted by Hurricane's Harvey and Irma will feature performances, appearances and special messages from: Malin Ackerman, Trace Adkins, Jason Alexander, Lily Aldridge, Anthony Anderson, Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, J Balvin, Justin Bieber, Dierks Bentley, Bobby Bones, Julie Bowen, Wayne Brady, Connie Britton, Sterling K. Brown, Luke Bryan, Steve Buscemi, George Clooney, Andy Cohen, Stephen Colbert, Sean "Diddy" Combs, David Copperfield, Chace Crawford, Terry Crews, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCpario, Old Dominion, Drake, Hilary Duff, Jourdan Dunn, Brett Eldridge, Charles Esten, Jimmy Fallon, Rascal Flatts, Luis Fonsi, Jamie Foxx, Richard Gere, Josh Gad, Eddie George, Selena Gomez, Any Grant, Pastor John Gray, Josh Groban, Savannah Guthrie, Tom Hanks, Marcia Gay Harden, Angie Harmon, Taraji P. "My hope is that there's some young kid sitting in their living room watching this tomorrow night and they get inspired to make their lives about giving," Braun told EW. "And the next great leader that we're waiting for is some young kid sitting in their living room and they get inspired by what they see tomorrow. That would be my greatest hope... Another great hope is that we raise a ton of money."
